The field looks terrible.

I don't want to start another non-football thread, but what the hell was Collins wearing last night? He looked so sloppy it was bizarre.

Obviously there are way more important things, but it's weird to see a P5 head coach wearing a giant untucked sleeveless t shirt with undershirt sleeves (?) poking out. Chip Long looked a million times more put together.

But you have to love those skinny pants, amirite?

Our grass field was immaculate. So far this turf monstrosity has done nothing but disappoint. I’m not sure how it played for the players last night, but aesthetically it was total vomit.
They were slipping all over on it, but at least we seemed to have an advantage. WC was losing their footing all the time. We apeared to have the correct footwear for once, that's a positive change in case someone can't find anything else from last night!

Watching on TV. I figured the brown was just the "filler" being wet from the rain, but it did look like hell.

What happened to the gold/blue endzones when this rug was fresh out of the box? How did we go from this two years ago to the D-III looking field today? Is there not enough $ in the kitty to vacuum and repaint the field anymore?

Collins Shops at Baby Gap.

Your complaints about the turf are the most transparent and pathetic on this entire board, which is remarkable. Seethe on, you hippie mongs.

It rains on both the just and the unjust.

I think GT must have started screwing a permanent plug in every graduate‘s rectum around 1975. It’s the only explanation I can think of.

The explanation is that you have a group of people who are fairly intelligent and have fairly high standards. Then you have an AA that most often picks the worst alternative choice. We had a beautiful and award winning field. So naturally the moron decides to tear it out and replace it with fake turf. Add to it that for unexplained reasons it looks like öööö, and people are unhappy. It’s not hard to figure out.

And that the stated justification for making the change in the first place hasn't come to fruition even in the slightest and there's no reconciliation or accountability for that lack of follow thru.

This was always a questionable move given the number of stadium/outdoor concert venues in the Atlanta area.

It’s because it was a lie.

The reason they did it is because Gef wanted to practice in the stadium for #4the404 and other stupid reasons he thought up when we have an absolute gem of a practice facility.
The reason why it was done is Shaw Industries convinced us to do it.
