This is what a paid for multi million dollar college team looks like

College football is fundamentally broken. The trophy goes to the highest bidder. Boring. For us the value will be in playing similar minded schools who value the education, college traditions, etc. The factories are going to essentially become minor league NFL teams where players will be making near NFL $$$ and not really being a STUDENT athlete.

it is my opinion that once a division is made between college athletics and whatever the factories are morphing into, we will wind up with a semi pro league that has teams who happen to be located near college campuses, and then an actual college football league that hopefully resembles the sport we knew 20 years ago. I truly hope we are in the latter league. NFL minor league has zero appeal to me

While everyone wants to jump on NIL and everything, that's only part of it: georgia has more than twice as many "staff members" as TCU. Their coaching budget probably dwarfs their NIL budget

The only way to save college football is to turn it off. Everybody turn it off. Either go to the games or don’t watch at all. Saving the sport requires taking it back from these insane tv contracts.

You say that in a derogatory tone. "Bought and paid for" is the name of the game and totally legit now. You better get used to it.

I think we're all used to it. The results are mostly obvious before the games are even played. The games themselves are superfluous.

And UGA was already knocking on the door before NIL. The power imbalance in college football has been increasing since well before NIL came on the scene.

I can’t watch the Tarheels play for a national title in basketball or the Dawgs play for a football title. That means I have not watched national title games in hoops or football in 3 of the past six seasons. That means I am really not a fan anymore.

I still love following the Jackets, my kids’ school, ECU, and to some extent my Dad’s school, Auburn. But, with UGA and UNC playing for national titles half the team, I really hate college football and basketball.

The typical mutt athlete was on full display last night in the Green Bay game. How fn stupid do you have to be shove the opposing teams med trainer after what happened the previous week. These are not student athletes

College basketball lost me after the one and dones. College football is beginning to lose me. I cut the cord a few years ago but would still get streaming services during football season. But clown spoiled that with the NIU loss. Cut my losses there and have never looked back.

The Steeler player giving the CPR celebration was pretty tasteless.

Still not as bad as a former mutt in full pads shoving a medical trainer trying to get to an injured player

I didn't watch the game at all. And with scores like this, I imagine companies that purchased ad time in the second half aren't going to be very happy.

Hell, we’re hiring some analyst from UGA’s staff that no one’s ever heard of and acting like we upgraded at OFFENSIVE COORDINATOR.

You’re gonna piss son fanboys off with that one but true

My older brother once told me; "one of these days, Georgia is going to get it right and make a great hire at head coach!"

My fellow GT fans as hard as it is for me to say it, the dwags are about to become one of the most dominating football
programs in the country, year after year.

But having said that I still hate those sum*bitches with a passion!
THWG!!!

One and done ruined college basketball. NIL is ruining college football. I’ll always be a Jackets fan, go to games, watch games, but I’m losing interest in college football overall.

The current NIL model will reward teams that can afford to win. This is what we have to live with until the model changes. I would not be surprised if you tally up coaches salaries, analyst salaries, athletic budgets, and NIL pay to play, that Georgia is putting in 20x what we are paying. Kirby alone makes more in 1 year than we can afford to pay Key in 5 years.

The most beneficial change of course would be the NFL lifting the three year rule but I don’t think it is happening any time soon. Free minor league with no accountability. You can’t convince me that these kids aren’t ready either. I saw how well the three deep at each position played for UGA tonight. Brock Bowers needs to be earning an NFL paycheck next season instead of coming back to college ball. There are probably 10+ kids on Georgia’s roster right now that are in the same boat as him.

What was most embarrassing was the scholars that were in charge of The BCS Championship Series whose jobs it was to determine who the 4 best teams in NCAA were.

They failed miserably.

Hell, Narduzzi and Brent Key would have motivated their players more.

TCU should be banned from BCS for a decade regardless of how many games they win over that timespan.

They QUIT!

Georgia Tech would have beaten TCU tonight, I’m 101% confident of that.

They were scared.
