Ouch.. where was Lane ? He was on the depth chart.. maybe lane Singleton and Smith haven't bought inHe’s thrown 7 ints in the last 3 games. That has to change.
I firmly believe that with better and smarter play-calling, we could score 40, but Faulkner, though he has improve slightly, has not done a very good job of calling plays once we have a couple of TDs under out beltsKing was missing Singleton and Lane and our defense forced him to try and do too much. There is no magic bullet at QB, IMO. We dont have an offense that is going to score 40, regardless of who is back there
I know Singleton's HS coach, and from what he has told me, that would be very uncharacteristic of him.Ouch.. where was Lane ? He was on the depth chart.. maybe lane Singleton and Smith haven't bought in
The word yesterday though was that he was sick.Singleton was hurt in the Miami game and they kept him out probably as a precaution. Not having him there with his speed was noticeable in that we couldn’t stretch the field like we usually do.
Whoever said he was our best player Saturday, no way. He threw a pick 6 that was our single worst play of the game, plus two other interceptions, plus a bad third down decision to throw when he could've walked for a first down which cost us a possession. He was bad. Pyron!!
Thats good. He did get banged up but they said he would have been available if needed. The word yesterday though was that he was sick.
The first pick was bad; shouldn’t have thrown it. The last INT was on Leary, who made a number of terrible plays in the game.Whoever said he was our best player Saturday, no way. He tried to go in for the last play on the first half (Hail Mary) and someone told him to get off the field.Thats good. He did get banged up but they said he would have been available if needed.
I don’t care who plays as I root for the 11 GT uniforms (or 10) that are on the field. But, didn’t Key tell us that whoever has the best week of practice gets to play? Obviously, I know coaches don’t tell us the truth so Key should stop saying that those who practice best get to start. Just don’t address it or simply say you are going with the guys you picked in early September.
Yea. Leary goes behind the DB on the slant, which is a cardinal sin. Blaylock made zero effort on the first INT. Bad throw but with any effort to fight for the ball it’s just incomplete. Leary also dropped a TD and a wide open bomb which goes for at least 40. Both were great throws. King wasn’t very good, but getting zero help from your WRs doesn’t help. There were multiple drops in key situations. His passing % was very low, and not all of it drops, but I think if he'd gotten more help from the WR the game would look very different. At least one of those would've been a TD. Another would've kept a drive alive.
Key said in the presser that some of those picks were the WR not doing the right thing - like letting themselves get out leveraged by the defender.
