Transfer Portal Tracker

So I understand Singleton leaving -- it sounds like he really got a seven figure deal and it doesn't surprise me we wouldn't match that.

But there's no way Malik is getting close to that, is he? So is this somehow about fit?

I don’t think the genie can be put back in the bottle. But, I’ll maintain schools like Tech stand to gain more from the current system than the factories.
Simple rules like, the portal only opens after December and 1 transfer every 2 years.

they have given a wide berth of flexibility to an age group that are highly flaky about decision making to begin with. add to it the pressure from family and agents to follow the money. ööööing disaster.

Doesn't look like he graduated yet, I think he will regret whatever small additional bag someone offered

Meh, receivers are replaceable. Singleton was mostly hype anyway. Rutherford at least could make the catch in key moments, but he is replaceable. Thank you for your service to the Tech cause Malik, but I think you are making a pour decision. Like a wise man once said, it is what it is
Singleton was the best player on the field most games we played the last 2 years, we had a hurt qb most of this year that couldn't get him the ball downfield, and now he's going to make more money in one year as a 20 year old than the average American makes in their entire life.

We'll see where Malik ends up, id guess he regrets this decision for the rest of his life.

Losing your top 2 WR’s is a huge loss. No other way to spin this. From a continuity standpoint, King has great chemistry with both WR’s. Singleton going was expected, Rutherford was not. This isn’t a simple plug & play in this regard. GT has very little experience and depth now on the outside. That will be tough to quickly build in the Spring & Summer through practice.

The most experienced WR now is Stockton with 15 receptions, followed by Canion with 3.

See 2014v 2015 we missed Mason moar than Smelter.

Meh, spring and fall is enough to build playing chemistry with these experienced players.

If you were Malik, wouldn't you think you could get at least half of what Singleton got? I would think so if I were him. I think Malik saw what Singleton was offered and entered the portal thinking he can get $500K+, which may or may not happen.

Possibly. But going by the “new” WR room, 2 FIU transfer WR’s are WR1, WR2 on the depth chart. You can’t simulate chemistry with the QB or 2 years of knowledge of the O system.

We’ll see how things progress through the Spring and beyond. I don’t envy the HC, GM combination in CFB right now. You definitely have a great salary, but the stress level has been ramped up 2-fold. This is exactly why Saban and now Clawson have left CFB.
