Sometimes schools just miss or these kids fly below the radar. Look at PJ Davis’ recruiting profile out of HS. He was a 2 star recruit and we “beat out” Coastal Carolina, Temple, Chattanooga and Presbyterian, and he wound up being our defensive anchor.

If you have an OL but no QB, you can at least run the football.
If you have a QB but no OL you can't run nor can you pass.

Can't agree here. They can't matchup with Ross, Friedgen, and O'Leary of 1990. Damn if we didn't screw the pooch when we didn't let O'Leary/Friedgen replace Ross while Goof was at uga.

Kennesaw st did I believe. Its crazy because he was 5a all state. Its not like the kid was a 300 person school product. He had plenty of camp invites etc, auburn for instance, he did not fly under the radar so to speak.
He was dismissed maybe? Overlooked? So smart he was considered too smart for football and an ivy leaguer so they just passed on it? Who knows. I do know there are alot of shenanigans in recruiting and a ton of good players go fcs for not being the shiniest ring. This is probably one thing the portal is good for. Giving those kids who were cleary dismissed a much easier second chance.
Maybe he can only run a 4.65 and in drills looked ok. But no one appreciates his game speed. Vision. Ability to cut in the hole. Many great rb only 4.6 guys; and playing at football speed is not the same. Who knows. But glad we can add him
