It could’ve very well been the cheerleading captain……CollinsWe don’t know if our defensive coordinator was in charge of our defense—-one of the worst defenses in all of college football this past year? Who was then? The cheerleading captain or the band director?
Why not just keep Patenaude?Rumors are saying Chip Long is the front runner and tyere is a bidding war for kittley

My point exactly We need to just go all in on kittley long isn't even a qb coachWhy not just keep Patenaude?
I'm going with a couple of things, which are completely off the wall. Why not just keep Patenaude?
I think his point may of been more that Chip Long doesn't seem like a very innovative choice.I'm going with a couple of things, which are completely off the wall.
The discussion around moving Thacker around while firing Patenaude may come down to Thacker, while sucking as a coordinator, contributing more to the program when taken everything together. In other words, while Patenaude may have sucked less than Thacker, it could have been more than just output or play that Collins took into account. Perhaps, Patenaude wasn't pulling his weight in regards to recruiting (remember that goofy ass text with Sims...???). Maybe, he was butting heads philosophically with the other coaches. Even if it wasn't unprofessional or none of the relationships were outright broken or dysfunctional, you'd still want everyone in the situation we're in to all be rowing together. If one guy is always playing the "ya...but..." game, that can slow things down or stifle innovation. We're at a point now where we need to innovate cause our öööö ain't working.
TLDR: Patendude too old and not enough juiceI'm going with a couple of things, which are completely off the wall.

I feel like its going to be Chip Long with the Tennessee QB transfer, I'm sure he was instrumental with his recruitment while he was at Tenn.
Word is cabrera was at chip long's press conferenceI feel like its going to be Chip Long with the Tennessee QB transfer, I'm sure he was instrumental with his recruitment while he was at Tenn.
But he had considerable Ivy League experience.TLDR: Patendude too old and not enough juice
What press conference, and wth was Cabrera there?Word is cabrera was at chip long's press conference
Hire Gus as Coach in waiting? With Bailey coming in and Peery in his second year, it is not a given that Sims is our starter next season. We will have one dual-threat QB and two pro style QB's.
Of course our fearless leader has a track record of refusing to replace starters unless they are injured. Competition is not king in Tech football and consequently wins are rare.
Some reading material as we wait for decisions.

What has either of those Guys showed in Games for you to make such claims? With Bailey coming in and Peery in his second year, it is not a given that Sims is our starter next season. We will have one dual-threat QB and two pro style QB's.

I'll gamble on the guy that's at the center of the bidding war, vs the guy that was replaced by Tommy Rees and the Offense at ND got betterRumors are saying Chip Long is the front runner and tyere is a bidding war for kittley
All I said is that all three QB's should compete in the Spring and the best QB should be the starter. Based on past experience even if Sims wins the job, one of the others will have to start multiple games. Sims has not performed at a level that would guarantee him the job without any competition. What has either of those Guys showed in Games for you to make such claims?
We've seem Sims throw for 400 yds in games, we've seen seen Sims throw for 360 yds and rush for 65 -75 yds in the same Game.
Please tell us what you have seen from those 2 guys that translates to productivity in Games?
We know Sims is a very hard worker, his Teammates think of him as a weight room Guy, he spent a lot of extra time studying film with PNode and the huge jump was there, if he had a little more help.
All you guys also thought Yates was the answer until BC and you saw him behind the same OLine that Sims had to live with.
The absolute worst Fan in the entire Sports World is , "Mr. I love the backup QB and I know he's better than the Starter despite the fact that I've never seen more than a few minutes of Practice"
The Coaches see guys in Practice, they and the Players know who is the better option is, with no chance to lose a RS , the Coaches never gave a thought to trying Peery!
That should tell you where Peery's development is right now, you shouldn't go against obvious logic and assume that the Coaches are all stupid and biased to favor 1 QB over another.
You thought the Coaches were stupid for not playing Yates and we found out that maybe they aren't stupid and biased in favor of Sims, maybe Sims did deserve to start.
For the one millionth time, we don't have a QB issue as long as Sims is healthy
Crappy on who’s part?It was pretty crappy the way he left Notre Dame.
