Will the “play the back-up QB” fan boys vote for King?
Yep. I’m in the camp who would have liked to see Pyron get a couple series when King was having a bad game against BC. But he had a great night and deserves the vote. Plus Tech man > everyone else.

We didn’t have a QB during CPJ’s tenure. It is what it is. Calling any of those guys QBs is like calling Noah a yachtsman.
Wait, I thought the Flood was just a metaphor for aliens' genetic experimentation on the primitive creatures of the earth.

If Noah was steering a yacht and dominating the Mississippi State yachting team on national television I would call him a yachtsman. And a damn fine one, at that.

Well that’s the point. Noah steering a yacht, and Thomas

No one ever likes to admit Paul’s QBs were one-dimensional and that dimension was that of a RB (for the most part, but my point remains that none were better than King and King is the best we’ve had since Godsey).

No question King is the best we've had since Godsey for a non flexbone offense. I think King could probably be effective in the bone, although IMHO not as effective as JFN or JT. JFN could have done either. He was a bad a$$.

I'm pretty sure everyone is aware that CPJ's quarterbacks (and offense in general) were mostly one dimensional. But saying Paul Johnson never had a QB is stupid and obviously inaccurate -- Justin Thomas was an incredible QB for us, even if he didn't pass much.

He's listed as a QB, he's taking snaps from the center, he's lined up in front of the half back about a quarter of the way into the backfield, and he's passing the ball regularly (albeit not nearly as much as other QBs.)

I'm sure your point is that King is the best passing QB we've had in a long time, which is definitely true. But it's better to just say that than to basically insult the quarterbacks who played for us under CPJ, two of whom are big fan favorites (JfN and Thomas) and delivered us some of our most memorable wins of that past four decades.
