Vote for Haynes King

I'm pretty sure everyone is aware that CPJ's quarterbacks (and offense in general) were mostly one dimensional. But saying Paul Johnson never had a QB is stupid and inaccurate -- Justin Thomas was an incredible QB for us, even if he didn't pass much.

I'm sure your point is that King is the best passing QB we've had in a long time, which is definitely true. But it's better to just say that than to basically insult the quarterbacks who played for us under CPJ, two of whom are big fan favorites (JfN and Thomas) and delivered us some of our most memorable wins of that past four decades.

My point is he’s the best overall QB we’ve had since Godsey. I don’t think it’s even close.

If a WR becomes the all-time leading kick returner we don’t call him the greatest WR of all time.

I was able to vote from five different browsers on my phone. Next the laptop and see how that goes.

JT is as accomplished a QB (or more) than Goose. At the very least it's close.

And JT was a QB. Like, by definition. :dunno:

Loved JT and he was awesome for us but Godsey did do this against UGAY...3-1. :)

Sure by definition he was a QB. Clearly you know I’m in the camp that puts an asterisk next to option QBs. While Thomas was certainly a good one and will go down as a fan favorite (deservedly so), I just can’t put him in the same conversation as most of the QBs that bookended the Paul Johnson era.

I can't think of a good reason to do that but it's a free country.

To be fair, Pyron hasn't had his turn yet.
I guess it's a good position for Tech to be in, but not for Pyron. He well might garner such honors himself, but, sadly for him, he will probably never get the chance .... unless he waits till King leaves after next year. But then we have recruited some more outstanding QBs, too, so who knows what the future has in store for him?

I can't remember if Nesbitt ever played under Chan, but he was definitely recruited by him and then made a name for himself under Johnson. Do you not call him a real QB either?
