We got out-coached today

We thought Gailey was being hard headed too; then we found out different.
As lead FOCcer, I stand by the statement that the transfer of Threet was the death knell for Chan. We did OK, despite flunkgate. He was close, but never got over the UGAg hump. It would have been interesting seeing 4 years of Threet. He made an awful decision heading to Michigan he never recovered from.

Both sides of the ball. Can't say we were out-manned. More so on the defensive side. But Cutcliffe mixed it up well with the trick play while we failed to make any in game adjustments. This is on both PJ and Roof.
Congrats on your powerful insight....whats next...are you going to tell us about the virtues of
I didn't see this on my first read. You're on drugs. And desperate.
I think maybe was thinking actual numbers of players on the field...I think he is correct....we did have 11 on the field just like Duke did.

I'm a big defender of CPJ. Beating UGA 2 out of last 3 years, as well as 9+ wins both those years. I work with a Nebraska fan, so I'm extremely skeptical of magical coach firings arguments. The "right" coach is always around the corner. In Gailey's years, that right coach was overwhelmingly CPJ.

But I don't know what the hell happened in that second half. Maybe Marshall has gotten inside his own head too much since Clemson. The reads and throws have gone downhill. That's on the coaches ultimately, for however they've been trying to help him.

Ted Roof may be a good recruiter, but he has continually schemed not to lose. Yes, if you scheme more aggressively, maybe you give up a vertical with separation. But öööö, a couple of those big plays are better than being gashed so much on medium throws.

If Ted Roof is not fired and/or the team comes out listless against UGA like this second half, then even I question CPJ's future.

I still say you're stupid to fire him after this year regardless, but he will be on the hot seat next year. This right now is worse than any time in 2015, when break after break went again Tech. This isn't that.

CPJ obviously pitched a hissy fit at half and lost the team. CPJ was severely outcoached today. Duke had lost 6 in a row coming into this game... We didn't force a punt until the game was completely lost and then only one...

Renfree was on the way, but you are correct. Chan’s inability to develop a QB and hire an OC with a clue were his ending. Paul’s ending is going to be his inability to hire a DC with a clue.

CPJ has done a good job at GT, but the trend is down. We are definitely regressing relative to almost every team in the ACC, Duke, WF, Virginia, Miami, VT. Other teams are slowly adjusting to what we do and we have not made a single innovation in 10 years (that we kept).

There is not a single top 25 high school team in Georgia that would even consider CPJ to be their head coach. That is not a positive for recruiting.

 Fair enough.

Yep, and his inability to develop a QB.

I did not include that because he’s had some decent ones for what we currently do (Nesbitt, Tevin, Justin). We are not good at QB right now, but defense is our Achilles heel with Johnson.

Damn, forgot about Renfree..

IMO, we would have beaten UGAg in 2008-09 with the talent we had and Chan. We were loaded with talent, especially on defense. Tenuta would have turned up the wick. Dwyer was a hoss.

We haven't been able to recruit a DL since Chan left either. Sometimes I think Roof does a great job covering up personnel weaknesses; but not today.

"I don't know what to say. I mean, that was a pretty thorough butt-kicking. That was embarrassing. They went through us like we weren't even out there."

"I think we ran 6 plays in the 3rd quarter. By the time you get the ball you're down 17"

We got the ball down 7 in the 3rd and went 3 and out. Got the ball again down 10 and went 3 and out.

And continued to bang our heads against the wall thinking things would be different.

I honestly don't care if TaQuan starts next Saturday or not. I know he is trying his hardest, but we need some kind of spark. If it backfires, so be it.

Offense was equally responsible for this loss, with special teams on the hook, too. The offense did well in the first hal with the exception of the bad interception. They did nothing in the second half. We lost 40-6 (after being ahead 14-3) to the team Army beat last week. Everyone is to blame.

This is the same defense from 99 through 2001. Roof sucked then. He sucked at Duke. He sucked at AU. He sucked at PSU. He still sucks. He’ll always suck.
