The good thing about that is we hopefully won't give up 70 to UGAg. Our offense at least runs enough clock on 3 downs and a punt to limit scoring opportunities

Yeah CPJ threw the D under the bus with his "By the time we got ball back, we were down 17"...just totally glossing over his O having consecutive 3 & outs and about 6 total yards in the 3rd qtr.

It was a team effort of suckage today.

He seems to forget that he is responsible for the entire team. Most of our fans do too.

So why not sub out for the bigger QB with the better arm? TaQuan look too good with the falling backwards throws to pull him?
 
Y'all do realize that even the best teams in football have to punt multiple times in a game, right? And it's not considered a bad day of offense when they do...

I guess people have a hard time stepping back and looking at it objectively. When Duke's offense is scoring more, our offense looks bad, relatively.

"CPJ is responsible for the defense" is a fair criticism but "the offense blew it today too" is not

How can you excuse 6 total plays, 2 punts, and 3 yards in the pivotal 3rd qtr? ZERO points the entire 2nd half?? Against Duke???

What does this have to do with what I said? I was simply replying to someone who asked if there was an offense that scored 80% of the time. I think Duke came close today.

But I definitely agree: this team, offense and defense, is CPJ. It’s on him.

YUp. Unless you want to be technical and count the drive where they ran out the clock and we couldn't stop them. In that case 2

Through the third quarter we'd scored on 50% of our possessions. That's really good for any offense. After the 3rd quarter, we were basically down 3 scores and in desperation mode, passing almost every down, trying to catch up.

We were more efficient on offense through the 3rd quarter than any of the last 6 teams Duke lost to!

We did literally better on offense than any team Duke has played until the game was out of reach, yet our offense is to blame! Unbelievable

I can’t understand how a zero in the second half on offense can be excused. And, CPJ saying that we were down seventeen when we got the ball back, overlooking two three and outs in the third, does indicate his tendency to affix blame on the defense as if he is responsible only for the offense. As head coach, he is equally responsible for offense, defense and special teams. Coordinating the offense and calling the plays is his choice; every aspect of the team is his responsibility.
 
Georgia Tech 3/6 = 50% scoring efficiency through 3rd quarter

Miami 3/9 = 33% scoring efficiency through 3rd quarter
VIrginia 3/12 = 25% scoring efficiency through 3rd quarter
Florida State 2/7 = 29% scoring efficiency through 3rd quarter
Shall I go on?

Because nobody scores as much as you think we should have. Our scoring efficiency was higher than anyone Duke has played until the game was out of reach. Your perception of our offense is skewed because our defense is so abysmal.

You would blame the defense too if you were OC and you had to do something virtually impossible to win the game.

Think about it... If you're saying we should've scored even once in the 3rd quarter, you're saying we need to operate at 66% offensive scoring efficiency. That's an insane number. No one does that. (Except against our defense.)

Why does it matter what the offense did or didn't do? CPJ is responsible for the entire team.
