Thanks for all the great reply’s. Most of you on this site are really a bunch of f***ked up people.
When it’s late at night and I’m typing with my thumbs on a cell phone I don’t check spelling, grammar or any of that, nor do I care. I was just stating knowledge that I have that most of you don’t. Here is another story that is true.
We had a kid that was a great football player but he was a special ed kid. He got out of high school with a special education certificate of attendance. Which means he attended high school for 4 years But did not graduate. This kid went to a major college to play football and played 4 years and even graduated. He could not do high school work but somehow was able to do college work. He was drafted by a pro team and played three years. At the NFL combine he took the test they give people and scored one of the lowest scores ever. Now how did this kid make it into college and then pass his classes? How did he earn a degree? Could he have done that at Georgia Tech?
Before you bash me for grammar and spelling and punctuation I don’t give a shit about your thoughts or opinions so don’t bother. If you have something related to the topic that is constructive please feel free to comment.

uga accepts at least a third grade reading level for admission. Do you think Tech needs to admit illiterates and special ed athletes to be competitive?

He is talking about a player named *Redacted*. Literally a special ed student. No tech doesn’t need those players, but in the intersection between good athlete and intelligent you will not find a hell of a lot of options for tech. They are competing with the Stanford’s/duke/Berkeley’s of the world.

An interesting point another poster brought up is that CPJ doesn’t even use all of his exemptions

According to David Irons’ bio, he went to Butler Community College for two years before attending Auburn.

Yeah I got it wrong. Both him and his brother who I was talking about went to auburn. I feel like it’s inappropriate to attach a real name to it so I edited my post. Maybe it’s important maybe not.

Assign me to a student in a non-technical major. I bet I could find classes with relatively consistent exams, teach the student to the exam, and he could earn at least a D in the class. This is especially true for classes heavily dependent on essays. I wouldn't write them for him, but I'd proofread them, clean up the language, and tell him when it's ready to be submitted.

My wife played softball for brenau. Their third basemen was getting recruited by Georgia. She is extremely intellengent and wanted to major in Biology(bio med I think).

Uga told her that she would have to change her major to get the scholarship. Bottom line is they aren’t running out student athletes onto the field 100% of the time. They are just athletes.
