If all those other dudes turn us down, then we we settle on Key. Not a terrible settle, but a settle nonetheless. We have been pining for Gailey seasons and I think Key can get us there in the ACC but GT needs to stop schedule tough OOC teams, take the UNC/Duke route to scheduling. Then we can have more wins and feel better about ourselves since we are so emotional.

Also I almost forgot. Mullin sucks balls and everyone knows Key will be a better coach because he loves GT. I mean, really loves GT. A true Tech man through and through.

I like Key for the job as well, but his love for Tech will have little influence on wins and losses.

I think we end up with key. I don’t think we have a shot at the names being mentioned. I see it as a choice between middle of the road g5 Coach or key. The advantage with key, should be able to get a Gt friendly contract without a huge buyout. If we don’t make a bowl game after year two, we could cheaply cut bait.

You realize that this will mean that our school president just blew smoke up our asses a few months back. But it is what it is. I'm not expecting much better either.

I hope so. Key may actually be the best available. The advantage with that is we could load the coaching staff with the best available, although I think we have some good ones already. On the offensive side, I wonder what would happen with a year of coaching undistracted by the undisciplined ya-ya that TFG brought with him.

You don’t think we have a shot at Jamey? Are you smoking something?

I don't know how much of it was Collins or not. I highlighted the years he was either co-DC or DC. He took a good defense and kept it good.

Then again at Florida he inherited an elite defense and they stayed good.

His time at Temple was a regression from his predecessor and the rest is history.
MSST years were average besides the year when dak presckot took off florida I'm not sure though

I think he will have a couple of programs after him and I don’t think he will choose to come here. You don’t have Power 5 jobs offers as quickly if your first p5 job doesn’t go well. I think C@# will spend rest of his career as an assistant. Jamey is going to be looking for the best situation/resources to allow him to win because he may not get another chance. I know changes might be coming, but I think there are other jobs that set up for better opportunities to win.

The only other program that wants him is Nebraska, and there’s almost no recruiting advantage there. Fan involvement maybe? Other than that they have nothing over us.

The factories are all scared to death of the dreaded “option” stigma. Chadwell is our’s for the taking if J Batt has the balls to pull the trigger, and it’s unlikely that he would ever get hired away from Tech by a bigger school either no matter how successful he is for the same reason.

Let's start by hiring a great offensive coordinator and the best offensive line coach available.
I think key on the cheap and spending the money on coordinators may be our best bet. Key seems to run a tight ship and gets the most out of most players. (Hopefully we can weed out the ones that he doesn't).

I don't know much about Chadwell but have read his defense sucks but he is in tight with the defensive coordinator. If that is accurate, I am worried he would bring him along and be to loyal to him.

If Chadwell is such a good candidate, why is he not getting mentioned for the other P5 jobs?

Maybe others have read more articles and I am missing something. It just does not seem anyone else is as excited about Chadwell as the GT fan base. Why is that?

I just did a Google news search, and I see articles mentioning him for many jobs.
