Who is your favorite GT player ever and why?

Randy Rhino was Tech's only three time All American. Guy was one hell of a player! He was a DB but boy he was exciting to watch.
 
Shawn Jones was my first favorite and I guess he’s Almost at mythical levels at this point so he’s still number 1.

Lil Joe was my hero in HS. 98 georgia game was my all time favorite game for a long time even over 99.

I’d say my 20’s would be Nesbitt followed very closely by both Bebe and Dwyer

Now in my 30’s- easily JT. Saw his HS film when he flipped to us in Dec of 2011. Went to family Christmas party and showed film to mutt in laws and told them he was going to get up in their ass and he did it 2 out of 3. Dude is up there with Joe for me. 2014 ACCCG and Orange Bowl is the best looking athelete I’ve ever seen in a GT uniform. Fastest player in pads we’ve ever had. He was a ööööing blur

Yes Rock Perdoni was awesome. Remember standing on the bridge in Athens in the rain, and watching him dominate the dogs.

If you saw Rock play in the (1974) rain in Athens, you got a scoop. Renso finished in 1970 & it was a gorgeous, sunny day for a 17-7 NATS win "between the damned weeds."

You'd think a GT hero like Shawn Jones would get seated somewhere other than 219.
Just kidding. North endzone below the walkway are best seats in the stadium.

Well, I guess I mentioned 1974. HOWEVER, 1974 was The Rain Game where Pepper's wishbone demolished UGag. Perdoni played in 1969 (Game at Grant Field) and 1970 at Sanford&Son on a beautiful, dry autumn day.

Ergo, you didn't see Rock demolish the dawgs in Athens in the rain. In fact, it wasn't raining in 1969 at Grant Field, either.

Ken Swilling on the '90 team. 6 feet+, 238 pounds. Remember him being interviewed/profiled leading up to the NE game, the talking head referred to him as 'the largest free safety in captivity'. Ken was visibly surprised by the comment.

6-0. My sophomore year. Didn't Perdoni's father have a heart attack during or after the game? Not raining in 1969.
 
Scoring the Touchdown for Georgia Tech number 20 Robert Lavette! Shawn Jones is a close second.
 
I would have to go Joe Hamilton. Honorable mention Sean Jones, William Bell, Keith Brooking. Clay, Mays.
 
Modern era, Joe Hamilton, one of the most dynamic play makers I ever saw.
Ancient era, Clint Castleberry because he was a war hero and because I knew his nephew and namesake--also an outstanding guy who died too young.
 
Shawn Jones. The best ever come back quarterback TECH ever had.
I never gave up hope when he was playing. He had a knack
