Who will replace Collins?

But is it worth 30 years of pain and turmoil? I don’t think so.

If you’re trying to be serious, of course not. Such a win would buy him a few years, not a lifetime deal.

Don’t get your hopes up. The OL would have to play at a level they have not yet to have a snowball’s chance.

Because the option sucks ass.
Georgia Southern just hired Clay Helton despite running the option since the Stone Age and actually having a roster that is comprised of FCS-caliber players. And they’re only paying him $750k his first year, which is just slightly higher than what we’re paying our currently underachieving OL coach.

I know you’re too invested with Collins, but stop making excuses like Tech can’t do better because of some imaginary restraints put on the program by Paul Johnson. We certainly can do better than 9-22.

So, coaching isn’t substantially equal as you’ve posted many times?

If Tdope was smart, he’d be finding the funds to get Collins some major staff upgrades. Much cheaper to do that than replace a whole staff after apathy has set in.
What I meant is they call the same plays and are trained in the same ways to run practices , same drills, same film Breakdown to Teach their players, of course there will always be pay differences in any industry

I’m not invested with Collins, you blithering idiot. GT is invested with Collins.

Wonder if Daboll would move down to cut his teeth before moving to a head coach position in the NFL
Once Daboll drops down and becomes GT's HC, he'll never become an NFL HC

The quickest way to become an NFL is to become a coordinator first, not by becoming our HC

Nick Saban is about to lose this game to LSU, Bama fans will be so pissed they aren’t making the playoffs this year that they fire good old Nick, and we can hide in the shadows and snag him.

I don't know much but I root for 2 teams, the other being Arkansas, and their rebuild is moving along nicely. They were 1-23 in the SEC in the 3 years before Pittman arrived so it was about the same situation. Having the 2 to compare colors my view of both.

That’s because Arkansas has this funny thing called coaching

There may be a lot of similarities within the game with coaching basics but clearly, some coaches do a much better job teaching those concepts and getting players in positions to make plays. Our DB’s and OL don’t seem to be improving at all.

Fingers crossed for some improvements on the staff soon. The OL needs to develop some nasty.

I’ve got a bad feeling that Colling might find some stupid way to beat UGAg and then he’s stuck here for 30 more years

Many would probably disagree but a win over Georgia wouldn't have any lasting effects at all. A week-long euphoria brought back down to Earth by a realization that was a massive fluke.

You can go down the road and say that we have hung our hat on the sporadic wins we have had against UGA, but not one of them was considered a fluke then or now.
