I am the same way. Maybe we both have that same fighter's additude and simply will not tuck our tails and run the other way, just because we lose.

If you give up, you'll always be a loser, but if you stand there and fight, you'll, at least, have a chance to win.

Maybe if the people in this thread would stop being sandy vaginas, those words wouldn't get thrown around.

This isn't a "solution" to a "problem". It's a knee-jerk butthurt reaction from some people who are willing to say that GT football isn't as good as UGA football, but aren't man enough to at least advocate dropping the sport entirely. It's a complete bitch move to drop UGA because we lost. It's no more of a solution than to cut off your dick because you're unhappy with your wife and want to cheat.

So, again, this is Tech. We are nerds, our mascot is a car and our rival is UGA. If you don't like that, go root for a different team. There's a word for the type of people that get into a relationship and attempt to change the one they love. That word is woman. Take your tampons and go somewhere else to cry. The only good thing this thread has done is point out the real jackasses on this board who would rather crumple up and whine when things don't go their way. I'm sure you all did very well at Tech with that mentality.

Any self-respecting person would back off, regroup and bring something new to the fight, something that would give them a decent chance rather than just walking in year after year blindfolded with one arm tied behind your back for yet another a$$ kicking...

Wrong, throwing around insults like "vagina" and "butthurt", that is a knee jerk, emotional reaction. We OTOH are saying this is a problem that can be solved and are advocating changes to make that happen.

No one said anything about dropping FB entirely, that is absurd. 16 straight bowls and we have shown in recent years we are able to compete in the ACC. However IMO the window on that is closing a little more with each passing recruiting class that is less than stellar.

Changes need to be made, that is all we are saying. At this point given the vast difference in our program's ability to recruit versus UGA I am all for dropping the game. Or at a minimum moving it to earlier in the season so we have plenty more FB to help us forget it as the season goes on (and give us a better chance as usually they have several guys in prison or suspended)

I don't get how y'all like getting your head bashed in every year yet somehow argue that should continue??

Even the dwag people I have come in contact with after the game had nothing but respect for how hard we played. Quit the series and we go from little brother to little bitch.

And what recruit is gonna be turned on to a team that quit it's interstate rivalry because the fanbase couldn't handle the losses?

I wonder if there any Navy fans out there arguing to drop Notre Dame from the schedule?

If you want to make an argument that we should drop to FCS or even move to Conference USA and be happy, then I don't agree but at least it is a logically consistent position. But this minority of fans arguing to drop UGA to improve our prospects in FBS is deluded and a little sad.

Just to be perfectly clear, I have been advocating this for about three years now. All season, anytime it seems to be appropriate for the topic at hand.

I have a question for you. Georgia Tech beat UGA 30 times or so using only engineers to do it (and a couple of Navy pilots and a few old commerce folks). To me, you're not manly enough unless we can break through with a victory and only have CHEMICAL ENGINEERS, going for their doctorates, and win.

We've backed off plenty over the years in many different forms. We also stopped playing UGA for a while. You must be a real weenie to enjoy a victory using less than manly, watered down teams ever since we restarted the rivalry.

Maryland dropped playing Penn State after about 30 years of a complete buttwhooping. But they're going back for more since they need the money. (Sound familiar since that's really the driving force here.)

Are there any other big rivalries between two in-state non-conference teams? Only one I can think of would be Iowa and Iowa State, and I don't think that's a real big game for either school.

Allen,I started the thread because we are at a big disadvantage against UGA and I think the ACC rivals CU,VT,Miami are plenty.Take a close look at our signees in Feb then look at UGA's.
