#19: Kenderius Whitehead

great now I'm worried that he'll declare for the draft after the 2014 season.

Just bought 69000 Butthurt Futures just in case.

Good commitment because it addresses an immediate need: speed on the DL.

The DL situation is so dire we really need several more guys. Hopefully some of our underclassmen will emerge.

What were MJ's measurables?

EDIT: He's at 6'7" and 270 lbs. in the NFL (266 lbs in the combine), but I think he was about this kid's size when he got to Tech. Looks like a good pick up to me.

He was also two years younger when he got to tech... not hating on this kid, just sayin'. Judging by peoples' reactions I'd say it's a good pick up, but I don't really follow recruiting much and get caught up in the hype before they show something on the field.

well I guess we can wrap it up guys. wombat is not impressed.

That is good to know. I think our recruiting has suffered not only because of the lack of 4 star recruits, but the small number of "high" 3 star guys we have been able to attract in the past 3-4 years...

Phil steele had him as 65th best at position in us from hi school -good get

We should replace our recruiting staff with scale and a yardstick.

Seriously tho, I would love to hear wombat and Ted Roof discussing the pros and cons of this commitment.

1. This kid has had two more years in the weight room.
2. The guy above was 6-3 so his COG was lower allowing him to bring power and speed.

We'll see, but on paper, I'm not impressed.

how about on film? NOTE: Junior year of high school.

And you can't utilize length? If he has good hands he can keep an opposing OL's hands off him....

Also, won't he end up with 2-3 more years in the weight room?

I can't believe you're basically clowning a guy who hasnt even been committed for 24 hours. Redic

#1 thing I take from that film: he never stops going after the ball. I'm excited that he's coming to Tech. Good luck, kid - glad to have you!

When this guy is tearing it up on the field, feel free to drop by for a little I-told-you-so. I'll let you dish it out all you want. Until then, enjoy visions of your dream team of undersized D linemen.

You may not be impressed on paper, but you sure are a moron on the internets!

He was a "high 3-star" on Rivals if that means anything to you. Rated as a 5.7....4 stars begin at 5.8.

That and his offer sheet actually make me a good bit more impressed with this guy. Sounds like a guy that'll probably see PT immediately. Hopefully he can fill Jerry's shoes.

Lawrence Taylor
Height: 6 ft 3 in (1.91 m) Weight: 237 lb (108 kg)

not too impressive, though, i guess.
