Big 12 was rightfully punished for not having a champ game. No excuse in 2014 not to have at least 12 teams and a championship game

If their fanbase is more butthurt over having to travel far than they are the other way about not having to play Bama first go (in basically a home game for them), then they are a stupid fanbase.

They kind of did have 12 teams until Mizzou and TAMU bolted to more cash in the ACC.

Their fanbase is going to be flying either way, so yeah, not a big deal, and I bet they will be more than happy to be playing Oregon first rather than 2nd.

That was 3 years ago. They have had plenty of time to find replacements. They failed to do such. Nobody to blame but their awful conference commissioner.

The Big 12 lost teams more because Texas was being a colossal dick than cause of money.

I think I did hear somewhere that the Big 12 was petitioning the NCAA to let a 10 team conference have a champ game.

Probably. But on the other hand, they get to play in the Rose Bowl, which is pretty badass and not something they would normally get to do. I would kill to get to see Tech to play in the Rose Bowl.
 
So what are your thoughts about GT's spot now?

I'm thinking we are a lock for #9 given the other polls and FSU's spot at #3.
 
Committee obviously decided that the Superdome could not hold all of the idiot between FSU and Bama.

Seems like a no-brainer to add Boise St. And at some point BYU will be looking for a home.

It will be #9 or #10. It is hard to say what the committee will do with KSU.

In other news, while I can agree with this guy saying they need more transparency, dude calm down what's done is done.

UCLA plays there like 7 times a year. Usually not in January, though.
