Who do we have playing today...

Yates went 13/23 for 177 yards 1td passing and 25 rushes for 96 yards. From what I've seen he'll fit well in CGC's offensive scheme. He is a true dual threat and defeated the top two programs to start and end the season at MBS. Colquitt was to play for the HS national championship had they won.
 
We need to run a similiar offense to Milton’s. Reminds me of the old Florida Offense with Tebow. I feel we are in good hands at QB if we sign Yates with the ones we have already in the stable.
 
This brought a question to my mind, how many state championship QB's have we had in the past?

Off the top of my head I know Justin Thomas and Vad Lee were state champions for their high schools. Looked those two up and JT5 was 6A state champ in Alabama, Lee was 4A champ in NC. We have Graham who hasn't won a title, but took Fitzgerald to back to back championship games as a sophomore and junior. And now we have Yates coming in as a 7A state champ. Future is looking bright at QB.

I thought JFN had won a state title, but I researched and he in fact didn't. I knew he came in highly touted though, but I didn't remember it being this high. He was the #1 rated QB in Georgia coming out of high school, and #12 in the nation. #4 recruit overall in the state. :eek: Imagine getting these guys again folks. I am excite.

Remember, Vad Lee took 1 big hit at UNC and was through with 3O Fb forever

A kid that size takes a bit hit and it can change the way they play, sometimes they play in self-defense after taking a major hit

I'm glad we're through with Ga Southern style FB forever

Now we gotta get the CPJ fanboys into a detox program get all that 3O outta their systems
