FSU QB kicked off

Is the belief that Taggart chose not to sign a QB and that was his plan from the beginning, or that he wanted to sign a QB and couldn't get his man so decided to use the scholarship elsewhere rather than take someone of lower quality?
I am hearing that his real plan is to sign his son, who is a QB at a local Tallahassee HS and a 2020 prospect. The kid is about a 2 star and is about 6-0 160 lbs.
The truth of the matter is Taggart has turned their “culture” into a hip hop club with dumbass coaches and hires of his buddies. Almost every major prospect he recruited went elsewhere, and white kids really aren’t interested in playing in that environment.
It is amazing how quickly a program that used to dominate the ACC goes to below mediocre. Maybe Collins does see this as an opportunity to get recruits, as the ones who have any sense aren’t going to be interested in playing for Radio

Reminds me of what we could have done in 1990 to UGAg. Our football and basketball teams were flying high. We could have kicked UGAg's teeth in in the 90's as they became mediocre, like a Mississippi cow college. Instead, we don't hire Fridge or GOL as HC after Ross and hire Lewis, who tanks our program right as the opportunity presented itself to put our foot on UGAg's, and the rest of the ACC's, throat. It should have been us and FSU dominating the ACC in the 90's, with GT eventually dominating. We had so many opportunities. The Atlanta Olympics presented an opportunity.

GOL started us on the right track

Chan was mediocre. Had the pieces. Couldn't get it done. Flunkgate was devastating. Nix was a terrible OC. Can't remember the other OC.

Johnson finally got us some wins over UGAg ,which Chan should have had several with some of the skill talent he got. Johnson ran his course. You could tell it was no fun coaching for Johnson in 2017 and 2018

Collins may be the best hire of them all. I truly believe he will follow through. We need to get through the next few seasons and see if we can develop what we have and pick up the pace on the OL and DL. We have some good players there, but need depth badly.

So true. I think CPJ just got tired of all the anti Triple Option crap.

I liked CPJ a lot, but he quit coaching because he got tired of losing. Unfortunately, he was on a downward trend . He actually had a lower win percentage here than he had at Navy. I was not agitating for his departure, but his decision made sense.

Looking at the plot statistically, it looks like we needed a quality control coach.

I like the pattern of 1999, 2004, 2009, 20014 and what it portends for 2019. The average number of wins for those four seasons is 9.25. I would be happy with 9 plus wins next season. That would be a good starting point toward consistent 11 to 15 win seasons.

4 star safety just flipped from FSU and signed with Maryland. The wheels are now off the bus at FSU.

Blackman rumored to be entering the portal and transferring to Weight Watchers University.
Update: Blackman rumored to have flipped from WWU to Biafra Tech. Offered a partial schollie with tuition and fees, books and room, but no board.

And the QB will get kilt doing it

The hemorrhaging continues

Fascinating watching a head coach kill off a program that should almost run itself

You are spot on. One of the dumbest, most unvetted hires in recent memory. The good news is he is not even smart enough to cheat right...he’ll get em on probation

FSU has not been the same since Tech blocked that kick in 2015. They were on top of the ACC and on a roll then. Dammit, we don't get to play the Noles while they're down, but we do get to play three of the best four Florida teams the next couple of years. They will all benefit in recruiting from FSU's blowup. UF should just about own that state now, and uga will get a much bigger screwing than us.

We’ll play 4 of 4 cuz we’ll get UF in the playoffs.
