It is an acknowledgement that the team is very thin, and we are building depth any way we can.Anyone have thoughts on PWOs? It seems like we are offering a lot more of those than we did in the past and are being strategic about it. Seem to be making offers to players from large schools that have a good football program and/or players that have connections to VIP recruits.
So is it different than in the past? Does everyone think it is a good idea?
The key on how many walkons you want is how many players you can effectively practice with. You need a minimum to give your core players a breather in practice but not so many they get in the way and slow down development of the current players.
Collins runs a lot of development time, so he will prolly run more walkons than many programs
