I did not hear Wes this morning but spoke with 2 friends who did.
Basically, Wes Durham is not happy with ACC officiating.
He said something to the extent of "the ACC will be a 2nd rate conference if this is allowed to continue". (note: not EXACT quotes as I did not listen)
And he's right.
We had just scored a touchdown. Got a penalty and STILL converted the two point conversion.
Then...our defense gets a GREAT stop on Tyrod Taylor and the Hokies. Momentum was on our side BIG TIME. "BIG TIME MO MO" as I like to call it.
But wait! The refs completely interfere with the game and as CPJ stated, that drive was "one for the books".
An absolutely HORRIFIC call at the WORST possible time. I know it doesn't help matters whatsoever but I am very surprised that not many more of us are beeching about it as much as I am.
I thought this was interesting because usually Wes Durham will kind of steer away from blaming officials but it was so bad that he did. Good for him!
Did anyone else hear what Wes Durham had to say?
