Miami Game Canceled

I feel bad for our players who have worked so hard for the privilege of playing time - the honor of taking the field to represent Georgia Tech. This is really sad.

To our players, the StinGTalk collective salute you for your hard work. None of it is wasted.

Hell of a way to end a season. I've got a bad feeling about this going forward. Feels like something has just shifted.

This looks so bad.
Everyone knew this could happen. It was a strange and difficult season. I don't know what you think makes it look so bad. We are in a position where we just can't play.

"We" didn't all make fun of Michigan. Other games have been cancelled, not just Michigan. I fail to see why everyone is getting so upset about this.
I’m not really. It’s sucks for our football players. If we are indeed having issues then I of course support it for good of student athletes. If we are not and just dodging a game, then I think it sucks.

Especially after we all made fun of Michigan.
I started the Michigan thread because I thought there was a credible assertion that Michigan wussed out to avoid an ass-whoopin for the benefit of Harbaugh.

We aren't cancelling the Miami game because we are afraid of Miami.

I don't think we are just dodging the game. We have obvious huge gaps on our team right now. Time to stop and get healthy. Get some players signed. Get the pandemic behind us, hopefully by late spring, and get back to normalcy

I don’t think we are either. But that is certainly going to be the narrative outside the tent.

Moving forward, can we start using SWAC officiating crews in our ACC games?

We allowed Pitt to give themselves a bye week before they played us.

We do NOT stand accused of ducking opponents. Even our most bitter rivals respect that we will suit up anytime, anywhere against anyone.

The likelihood of us getting a bowl invite is so remote that including this sentence in a press release looks bizarre to me.

On top of which... I still don't understand why COVID is a greater health threat to any of these players than playing football itself.

CUE: "But they have grandparents!"

Unlikely for sure but plausible. BC already said they won't accept an invite so we move up one spot. Of course, a couple of ACC bowls have canceled, which doesn't help.

BC and Pitt have opted out of playing a bowl game. The Athletic projects Tech in the Gasparilla Bowl vs. Tulsa.

I don't see that being the narrative. We have trudged through several weeks struggling to keep everyone healthy. We have gotten to the point where we are just better to cancel and start moving towards next season. Get our commits signed next week. Get our portal transfers here.
