Gibbs gone

TStan supposedly had the money to buy him out, but he somehow convinced the big money guys to stick with Collins. It's not too late for those big money guys who have the money to step up and demand that Collins go.

Ken Suguira reported that the donors offered enough money, but I doubt they offered it without serious conditions. They may have offered to buy out Collins only on the condition that TStan follow him out the door.

If we could really afford 8 figure buyouts, then we could pay the Staff $6 million and get better Assts, and we could pay the HC $6MM per year and simply hired a guy better than CGC.

To my non expert logic things simply don't add up!

Well I hope he goes to Bamma or OSU and wins a title next year and ride into the NFL, he deserves better than what our Coaching Staff gave him.
The fans deserve better than what he gave us.

I dont think firing Collins would have stopped Gibbs

Oh, 1,000 percent. I think the only chance we had keeping Gibbs was probably making a bowl this year and looking like a team that could go out and win 9 or 10 games next year. Maybe not even then if a big time program got in his ear, but that would have been our only chance.

Thing to remember about Gibbs was he was a humble 3-star recruit who absolutely blew up in a short amount of time. He actually talked about how he was uncomfortable with that situation during his recruitment and found it stressful. I think GT was the safe, comfortable option and he stuck with us. I think he recognizes how great he is now and how much better things could be for him winning huge games in packed stadiums and being in the conversation for awards.

#1 Sims has never turned the ball over 3 to 5 times a game, do GT Fans even watch Games or do they just make up their own facts to validate whatever agenda they are spewing at that time?

Maybe behind better OLs Sims throws less interceptions, and has less tipped passes, and has less blindsided hits that cause strip fumbles.

Message Boards are great for exposing the idiots among us that watch Games and then fabricate the facts to fit whatever narrative they want.

3-5 is a stretch (but I think he did have one game in that range in 2020), and 2 picks isn’t hard to find this year, maybe with a fumble lost here and there as well. I like Sims, but he does commit more turnovers than I’d like.

You should start up a YouTube channel to help educate us. Break down game film, recruiting, budgetary issues, coach histories, etc. If you present it well, I promise to pin every video to the top of the board. Be the change you want to see in the world.

That’s a lot more work than just being a long winded blowhard and occasionally recommending that the staff deny food to players on a message board.

Being repetitive to the point of boredom is also a red flag.

Yeah Honestly I think him choosing GT over those other schools was a sentimental thing at the time. Now he knows hes great and has a realistic shot in the NFL, just wants to have one last year of fun, not this sh*t show. I do not blame him, I blame the coaching staff, and I wish him the best.

I guess Gibbs got tired of the song and dance routine. Mason too? Does Dontae still have eligibility? Griffin, where are you?

Smith is still around and Griffin got in the game Saturday after Gibbs went out.
