“Big Announcement in the Near Future”

Occam's Razor, guy is hired for his fundraising ability, it's going to be some fundraiser. Probably will take advantage of the fact that everyone is excited for a new head football coach.

Batt calling it a "very big" announcement and not just "big" makes me think though it could be something other than a run-of-the-mill thing. But it might just be "very big" as far as the ambition of the fundraising program.

I hope the big announcement is that no coach will be on next year's staff, for football. We need an overhaul.. One done right. One done with coaches that know what they are doing. Key isn't the magical answer. The man failed... repeat FAILED as an O-line coach. If you cannot succeed at a singular level, there is nothing to suggest you will succeed at a higher level. Take the "tech man" concept away and use common sense. I know I am standing on this island, with my thoughts...and that's ok. I was right about Roof. I was right about Collins... But, what do I know?
You can run a successful construction company even if you aren’t the best roofer in the area…different competencies.

We will simply continue adding to the upper north until it is a viable space elevator to ferry supplies to and from the moon. New partnership with the Space Force.
No it may create more of a Torus like shape. More research must be done. Here is a sophisticated rendering of Kyle field expanded in length not too long ago:

I’ve been told time and time again that there is no way any GT money can be used for athletics. Whenever I brought it up and posted where there is a Will there is a way I’ve been mocked and told I don’t understand the system. I guess Cabrera doesn’t understand that either. GT has never been broke and has billions so all the whining about poor little GT that our own fans have bought into is just nuts. We are one of the richest schools in the southeast. It sounds like our President is ready to use GT mOney to improve GT’s reputation.
Gotta funnel I mean realocate the goods, shouldn't be hard for a Tech man!

I don't know if anyone has already suggested this or not, but, based on his introductory press conference, I wouldn't be at all surprised if the big announcement will have something to do with introducing soccer as an official Tech sport.

Seems likely given the nerd quotient. Nerds like to go to schools where you can play kickball.
