Fair question. You would have to look through a few of my other posts. Also, I have a lot of friends who attended GT and are all good people. I’m not a guy who hates GT other than on gamedays vs. UGA.

Some of that perspective is you guys dropped the disappointment machine that was Mark Richt. Showed how much that trend was him when he was at Miami.

Richt would have made several CFB playoffs at UGA, had it been around. He did a pretty good job righting the ship after the Donnan and Goff eras. We really needed for Mason to accept that UGA job as GT fans to continue UGA being more like Mississippi and less like Alabama.

So you have no examples. Because I have numerous examples of games that were very close becoming lopsided because we would repeatedly go for it trying to win the game. We also had several comeback victories and other comebacks that fell short. At no point during CPJ’s tenure did we play in a way that suggested.

It's not that he was bad, it's that he had a knack for finding disappointment. Maybe it's more in my head, but that one year at Miami they went undefeated a long stretch I could feel a collapse from expectations coming and then they lost like 4 games in a row even over to the next year.

Richt coached in a different Era at UGA when the Admin was trying to raise their Academic profile, they had the strictest rules among all SEC programs, and always had 2 to 4 starters missing 4 games at the start of the Season, has Kirby ever had any Player suspended, Pickens squirted water on a UT player in a Game and got in a fight with Swilling, maybe 1 other instance

The Players at UGA Didn't turn into angels over night, ever wonder why Athens-Clarke County PD never arrest Uga players anymore, does anyone believe they no longer hang in the bar district and drink booze or smoke weed?

They changed everything surrounding their FB Program after they hired Kirby to let him get away with the stuff that Richt's Guys got suspensions for.

Just my theory
 
we were being blown out by UVA coming off our bye. Heaven help us over the rest of the season I doubt we come within 10 points of winning any game.

The other half of this is I got so disgusted with the flaming liberals on Twitter that I closed my account but found I needed some (non-political) place I could mix it up with people of a different opinion on sports. Several of my GT buddies told me about this site. I promised the owner / moderator I would be nice so he let me join.

Stop being facetious, we have moved on from CPJ. We just think the current coach sucks. Why does this mean we want CPJ back to you? Isn't that the definition of a straw man argument.

On a related note, IMO, Kirby should have basically forced that DT to go pro after last season. A player costs himself millions of dollars and risks injury to make millions of dollars for coach Great Clips? IMO, Kirbs likely selfishly encouraged the DY to stay to win a championship. That DT could be earning a huge paycheck right now after a huge signing bonus. Stupidity at its best. Even if he doesn't get injured and is drafted this season, he has still left millions on the table by not going pro a season sooner.

If I were a head coach and had a bona fide top 10 pick on the team, my advice would be to go now. It would have been great to have Calvin Johnson for another season, but how does that help him? 1st rounders, especially top 10 picks, are idiots if they choose to stay in school.

You really believe a win when taking a knife to a gun fight, were close games that could have gone either way? Damn, I'm glad you weren't grading my papers at Tech.
 
We know the pattern by now. We will probably beat VT at home because that is the pattern. We’ll lose to Miami because we can’t win 2 in a row. BC will push us around and win fairly easily. ND and UGA we know what’s coming. These games aren’t crucial. We are what we are and Collins will continue to play #1, #2, and #3 on defense and we’ll continue to stop no one.

Some of our fans don’t care about traditions at all, get excited about empty hype, and only focus on beating Duke. It’s a lot of juice baby.
