Isn’t that what the mom posting was trying to do? Get all the Tech fans to see their view? So we’re simply stating otherwise. And if you really think that recruits go to ST on the regular and read what a bunch of lowlifes (me included) have to say about our own fan base, that’s nuts. Farthest recruits go is Twitter and maybe 247.

It’s not that we WANT CGC to fail, I think we were all ecstatic for the bright future Tech had in store, but it’s that he already HAS failed and we want to move on.

Why is it nuts to think a recruit wouldn't be reading message boards? This is the second board you get when you Google "GT football message board". Are today's recruits somehow disinterested in researching where they are going to play, including fanbase?

Negative posts on social media (not necessarily Stingtalk or other forums but Twitter and FB) and poor attendance definitely have a negative impact. Have heard this opinion expressed by this mom and other parents over time.

I don't make negative posts about staff or players so I'm pretty sure I am not part of the problem.

Because recruits don’t care about message boards. I’ve had plenty of friends who have gotten recruited from D1 schools, and they just don’t care about the message boards. It’s actually considered pretty lame in some cases.

Ivey's mom clearly said that this garbage gets back to players, so I would assume our recruits are just as likely to hear the öööö that is getting spewed about our staff and program.

No way does CGC work for 20+ years coaching at the FBS Level, having worked for taskmasters like GOL and Saban and all he's bringing to the Table is used car salesman schtick.

CGC spent a lot of time coaching in the cutthroat SEC.

You don't survive that long in a bottom-line results oriented business like Big Time CFB and not have any coaching Talent.

You might not like him defending his players with coach-speak and maybe you don't like our Mktg Dept trying new things to cultivate new Fans and to get more attention from Modern Day Recruits, but he has had to be a lot more than all style - no substance.

No it’s more along the lines of how they talk with fans and it’s through twitter and instagram. And yeah they probably hear it from the guys on twitter, or the parents hear the fans talking during the game and then either spew it onto Facebook to make a change, or they tell the players. Or maybe, just maybe, the players have the same consensus as us, and this is a way to get it public without posting it themselves.

Just curious, why would traffic stack up on I-20 on a Saturday, I've never lived on the East Side of the Metro, was just curious why that exit would have traffic jams on a Saturday?
