Players won't run from a challenge or when the chips are down, Players on the inside, will have faith and believe in what they are doing for far longer than our wuss Fans that are on the outside.

The fact that these Guys still have a lot of fight, even with screwups at the wrong time (low snap, holding, flea flicker after half, etc), tells me that we have a Locker Room full of Guys with a lot of buy in, but still lack the mental focus to eliminate bad mistakes at the wrong time.

CGC hasn't lost the Locker Room, so there's no reason for the Fans to bail.

I have absolutely no idea. Other than on occasional wreck (very rare) screwing things up, I never see any reason at all for the traffic to slow to a snail's pace, but, other than for noon games, it invariably does. I can make it from Augusta in just a little over 2 hours for noon games, but closer to 3 hours for late afternoon or evening games. And I am not the only one to notice it; every single person I know who comes from or through Augusta to get to Atlanta knows exactly what I mean when I simply say, "Panola Road". And, BTW, it's not just on Saturdays, It happens on weekdays too.

Players (speaking for myself) are completely off-limits.

Coaches are fair game - there at least three sites to discuss GT football. Coaches are basically off-limits on two of them. I don't visit boards of other programs but I can't imagine the top half of SEC football boards getting their panties in a wad over some caustic posts referencing their coaches. Pretty sure Clemson was ready to tar and feather Elliott after the first few games - pretty sure their recruiting is still going to be top notch. Fans, self included, are basically emotional doofuses and I don't think we look worse than anybody else when the team doesn't meet even the most modest of expectations.

It was a metaphor for you being technically correct, but being technically correct on something like this won't entice the kind of Recruits we need to win big, hence the "saying" -- you'll win the Battle but lose the War.

Being technically correct pales in comparison to what is more important, getting big time Recruits to consider a School they haven't considered in over a Decade (GT)

Out of our 85 guys on scholarship, we might have 10 that major in Engr., most major in Business(BS) , or Communications (BS).

Going back to the Days of Dodd, we've never had a majority of our Team major in Engineering, back then Business was called BS in Industrial Mgmt.

Doesn't matter how easily replaceable her Son is, it is a bad look and in poor taste to address a Player's mom with a profanity laced reply.

He could have easily ignored her, Parents might not know all the "in& outs" of how GT might differ from the typical FB Factory that her son saw on an OV, so as a Parent & Mother she should've been given the leeway of being ignored and if not, maybe explain rather than Curse her out.

My moral high ground is very much in tact, her Son along with Men's Basketball pays the freight for non Revenue Sports, if it weren't for the Fed Govt-Conference-NCAA forcing P5 Colleges to fund & finance those Sports, then they would all be "Club Sports" because they cannot survive in the Free Marketplace on their own, not being able to survive on your own Free Market Talents is the epitome of WELFARE.

Commenting on how a Sport is financed is NOT trash talking and is NOT the same as directing profanity at a Player's Mom.
 
Ok, thanks I really had no idea. Even if there are 10 that’s impressive. I had locked in my head the majority were getting Engr., degrees. I think the business school is pretty strong also.

This weekend. Hell, do I have to publish where I park and where I sit AGAIN?

To make it easier, my seat is R1 directly at the end of the Calvin Johnson sign for the pro hall of fame. Right above it. Look there. You'll see a devestatingly good looking guy there. That would be me.

Literally nobody asked for Bama in 3 years. Asking to win winnable games and showing signs of life is not asking to be Bama. You need to quit cussing people out just because they’re not happy with the dumpster fire direction program is in.
 
I think the biggest issue with a parents player is, they need to know their roll. If my son gets a scholly to, say, East Carolina, I've never been an ECU fan and my fandom will likely be limited to my sons time there. If I start telling their fans they need to get on board and show up and just cheer and just be positive, is that really my place? How well should that be received?

And lets be real, are recruits looking at message boards and social media? Absolutely. Are GT fans worse than passionate fans at other schools? No way. Kids don't pick schools for the fans, they pick schools for the opportunities, the coaches and sometimes the education.

Stop evading. I said Ellijay. I know exactly where he will be - and working. You let me know when you'll come to Ellijay. Surely a man as big and tough as you are will love to take down a man on HIS turf. If not, I know what you would be called where I come from.

Players reading stingtalk to make up their minds about whether to stay at Tech or leave because “fans are saying mean things about the head coach” is the most laughable thing I’ve ever heard. I should stop posting the approval thread too, they might think we’re at 3 wins or something.
