Bowl/conference tie-in's

In my mind, it does seem like they favor Carolina teams. Here are their ACC selections going back to the start of the bowl (16 games):

4x UNC
3x NC State
2x Wake
2x UVA
1x Duke
1x Clemson
1x VPI
1x Louisville
1x BC

UVA's only been to 7 bowls since the Charlotte bowl was a thing (versus 9 for UNC and 11 for NC State). I guess they're almost as likely as the Carolina teams to get selected when they're available.

Just about everybody can go anywhere (which hasn't worked out well for us, historically). Turns out that we really screwed ourselves with that Pitt game - win that one and we'd have separated ourselves from the pack a little more, and gotten into the championship game...

Yep. It feels like we should be sitting at 9-3 with a rematch against Clemmons this weekend...which is amazing given how poorly we played this year

I have to admit I’ve never heard of this bowl -by any of its names/sponsors.
 
If we fall past the Independence bowl than that really speaks to how far our program has fallen and someone should be fired!!

well...we fell way past that 2 years ago and someone got an extension. That's what we do at GT.
