Catchall Deion Sanders Thread

How many of our guys would Deion have run if we had hired him? Any chance we have some non-completive players or dead wood?

If he's building with transfers they can only transfer the once without sitting out. So they'll be stuck at CO unless they can grad transfer.
Wasn’t that also a recent rule change - unlimited transfers now, I mean - or am I misremembering something?

Pretty sure that’s been addressed by the HC. We've had 20 or so in the portal.

Yes, we know what our coach has so far decided.... While we certainly don't know what Deion would have done, we can wonder just how aggressively some other coach might have handled roster management that truly wanted to surge the team's performance and outlook. Any chance "one of our own" may be taking a less ruthless approach?

I don't think Key could have gotten 50 quality players from the portal and built them into a cohesive unit in time for not season. I'm skeptical of Deion being able to do it as well.

I think there's also a difference in how you go about changing the outlook of a 1 win team with 11 20+ point losses and a 5 win team.

That’s a long time.

Turns out it's a true story.

Georgia Tech Crushes The Sassanid Empire in The Fall of the Byzantine Empire Bowl

In a game that was never really in doubt, Georgia Tech crushed the Sassanid Empire 42-10 in the 1068 "The Fall of the Byzantine Empire Bowl." The Yellow Jackets were led by a dominant performance from their defense, which sacked Sassanid quarterback Khosrow I four times and forced two interceptions.

Jerry Glanville, in his first year as defensive ends and linebacker coach, was clearly pleased with the performance of his unit. "We came forth today and did battle," Glanville said after the game. "We put pressure on the enemy's leader and made great plays when we needed them. It was like Patricius Swillicos was riding a Byzantine cataphract into battle, like Elvis himself!"

On offense, Georgia Tech was led by quarterback Basileios Hamilton, who threw for 280 yards and three touchdowns. Hamilton was also effective on the ground, rushing for 100 yards and a touchdown.

The Yellow Jackets' victory was their second straight bowl win, and it gave them a 10-2 record on the season. Georgia Tech will now look to build on its success in 1069.

The Sassanid Empire, meanwhile, will have to go back to the drawing board. The team finished the season with a 6-6 record, and it will need to make some changes if it wants to be competitive in 1069.

After the game, Glanville was seen riding off on his Byzantine cataphract, a gift from his wife. He was flanked by his two bodyguards, who were both wearing leather jackets and sunglasses. Glanville looked like a Byzantine warrior, and he was clearly enjoying his moment in the sun.

I don't suppose there is more where that came from. That is funny, I would enjoy a whole season's worth.

There used to be a complete log of Glanville's journey in what would end up being his millennia as coach but thanks to the pillaging by the Ottoman Turks in 1453 the earlier chronicles are lost forever. @Akinji07 should have more details, I've said too much already.

I watched their spring game. I could be wrong but they will not win a lot of games against P5 teams

Pretty sure @coit downed an entire tankard of mead during that game and had to be taken home strapped to a beast of burden.
