I have the chronicles. There used to be a complete log of Glanville's journey in what would end up being his millennia as coach but thanks to the pillaging by the Ottoman Turks in 1453 the earlier chronicles are lost forever. @Akinji07 should have more details, I've said too much already.
I have the chronicles.
Whomwas the HC back them? And did we beat the barbarians from the East?Turns out it's a true story.
Georgia Tech Crushes The Sassanid Empire in The Fall of the Byzantine Empire Bowl
In a game that was never really in doubt, Georgia Tech crushed the Sassanid Empire 42-10 in the 1068 "The Fall of the Byzantine Empire Bowl." The Yellow Jackets were led by a dominant performance from their defense, which sacked Sassanid quarterback Khosrow I four times and forced two interceptions.
Jerry Glanville, in his first year as defensive ends and linebacker coach, was clearly pleased with the performance of his unit. "We came forth today and did battle," Glanville said after the game. "We put pressure on the enemy's leader and made great plays when we needed them. It was like Patricius Swillicos was riding a Byzantine cataphract into battle, like Elvis himself!"
On offense, Georgia Tech was led by quarterback Basileios Hamilton, who threw for 280 yards and three touchdowns. Hamilton was also effective on the ground, rushing for 100 yards and a touchdown.
The Yellow Jackets' victory was their second straight bowl win, and it gave them a 10-2 record on the season. Georgia Tech will now look to build on its success in 1069.
The Sassanid Empire, meanwhile, will have to go back to the drawing board. The team finished the season with a 6-6 record, and it will need to make some changes if it wants to be competitive in 1069.
After the game, Glanville was seen riding off on his Byzantine cataphract, a gift from his wife. He was flanked by his two bodyguards, who were both wearing leather jackets and sunglasses. Glanville looked like a Byzantine warrior, and he was clearly enjoying his moment in the sun.

The only sports news site that's as Byzantine as the Byzantine Empire itself.
Teams don't have much character anymore now that the roster gets turned over every year
Just wanted to complain some more

Prime only lets ninth graders on the DL when his son is in at QB.Gotta admit, #56 and #32 in that pic don't look to be built like P5 prospects
I had not considered that. Makes sense.Prime only lets ninth graders on the DL when his son is in at QB.
And another one....
The 53rd Colorado player to enter the portal since Prime Time took over.
