False. So I’ll repeat it AGAIN. The school would not have allowed GT to flip the roster accepting 70 players who I bet at least half would never have been admitted due to academics. This is a GT problem that only the school itself can fix. Same applies for Stanford, Cal, ND, Vandy, NW, Duke, etc. For 98% of schools, the new way to transform a roster has no issue from an admittance to the school standpoint. Colorado is in that 98%.Exactly. This season is ALREADY a success for Colorado. Guaranteed they have phones off the hook for tickets and whatever.
I mean all of it is hypothesis contrary to fact so yes if you set up the argument with a hypothetical based on a hypothetical your argument wins. I think in the situation that GT has allowed Deion to be coach they have allowed Deion to be coach the way he wants/need to be.
Dude, I get what you are saying and I’m not arguing with you. I’m just going in a different direction. The only people that care about APR and the current NCAA rules are GT. Look at ugags qb last year. He was in college for about 20 years. No way he was legit.Again. This is a GT problem at the moment. They are limiting themselves due to academic restrictions tied to stupid APR. Once the NCAA is completely removed from governing CFB, APR will go away.
Question then becomes, can GT be a player in the new NIL arms race? While not at an elite level, they should be able to pool in enough initiatives to go back to a Top 30-40 type program
Three things:
1) Based on what we've seen so far, Deion is a smashing success of a hire and any school who passed on the possibility to hire him is regretful right now.
2) Calling a coach who you watched be the head coach for 8 games last year a "never head coached a game alumni" and then commenting on how other people are stupid is an odd choice.
3) To give up a three possession half time lead (I thought it was two but as you said Tech stupidity never ceases to amaze) you have to get a three possession half time lead (again, thought it was two but that's my stupidity as a Tech fan.) If we do that a lot we'll have a good season.
It sucked to lose last night, no doubt about it, and there are areas of concern. But it would be foolish to bury Key as a HC on the basis of a close loss in the first ever game he head coached (anyone who's reading this and thought he had head coached eight games last year -- again, Tech stupidity.)
And I would say in a world where GT allows Deion to be hired they also agree to all the things other schools already do. You can believe your false reality and I can believe mine.False. And that’s where I’m at as well. Again, I was on the Deion train this time last year when rumors started to swirl that Deion was ready to make a P5 move and it was obvious GT was going to make a change at some point. The ties to Atlanta, hype, etc would have been great for GT even if the success on the field never materialized.Dude, I get what you are saying and I’m not arguing with you. ”People say, '[The] school is hard, you have to take calculus.' Look, I graduated but I never took one calc class in my life. So I'm like, what are you talking about? I didn't take calculus.
"Now, I failed the hell out of chemistry.”
It’s not a false reality. It’s an unfortunate fact that GT limits themselves in recruiting. If not, then GT would easily be a Top 25 program from a recruiting standpoint every single year just based on the talent in the state of Georgia. The program itself wouldn’t be on the bad 6 year run they’ve been on.And I would say in a world where GT allows Deion to be hired they also agree to all the things other schools already do. You go argue that point with BK. Just posting what he said in the ESPN article.Brent Key graduated IM in ‘01. He took a year of calculus. The courses were named “Math for Management” and I was a TA just prior to his time on campus. He also used calculus in his management courses as well.

Not necessarily. Because he’s obviously stating that a recruiting negative aka Calc requirement is in fact wrong. But again, that’s a GT problem. What would I be arguing? Either he graduated or he did not. If he did, he took calculus. It is irrelevant if he knows he took calculus or not.

Exactly it. The point that a majority crying “what could have been….” are ignoring at the moment. GT would never have let him come in and blow up the roster the way he did.I think Deion is not here because we put too many restrictions on what he could do. Deion would have been a huge hit in Atlanta.
Twitter doesn't moderate anything anymore and they are moving towards not blocking anyone. Last thing he needs is Twitter replies full of expletives and porn.
So much porn and expletives in the replies I can hardly read it

Yeah, well Deion also went in and played the race card and it has gotten coverage for that reason too.Deion's post game presser has 1 million views. Key's has 4.5k.
So you’re saying he’s as smart as he looks. And that’s where I’m at as well. It’s not just UGA’s QB from last year in Bennett. From all reports Carson Beck could not transfer due to his poor academic standing. That’s the only reason he remained in Athens behind Bennett.
They were 1-11 last season. No one expects 12-0.It'll be fun to watch too when Deion's losses start happening. That team is not winning all their games this season.
