Catchall Deion Sanders Thread

CSB. Sounds like you are a super Deion Fanboi and are ready with excuses for his ööööty coaching.

He sucks as a coach.

Colorado sucks.
Stop beating around the bush and tell us what you really think.

The Colorado fans will be forgiving in year 1. I don’t think they’ll be favored again, they have also played a pretty tough schedule given the state of the PAC XII this season. The Buffs may fit right in in the new look Big XII.
Seriously. A loss is a loss, but they are playing some pretty damn good teams and not getting blown out for the most part. Colorado should feel pretty good going into next season.

4 of their 5 losses have been against top 20 programs (only outlier an OT loss to ACC opponent Stanford)
USC, UCLA will both be UR today. They now play red hot Arizona who will wipe the floor with Colorado next week.

The fact that you’re defending Deion blindly with every decision he makes shows how clueless you are. Demoting OC Sean Lewis who was the only bright spot based on the yards & points being put up is doing nothing but putting his son and not the team first. It would be much different if the team was averaging 10 ppg. Yet despite the defense being USC, LSU, UF bad, Charles Kelly remains the DC.

I don't know how many here watched the OSU/Colorado game last night, but the highlights are out there. Colorado was lucky to not lose much worse than they did and I frankly think OSU is not that good. Colorado's offense looked like sandlot QB/WR play calling. "Go deep and I'm gonna run around back here until you get open."

If you are still on the Prime Time train you need to go watch the highlights of last nights game. If I'm Sean Lewis I'm resigning and taking the first flight out of Smolder. I wouldn't want any more of that stink on me than is already there.

But when Colorado beat national powerhouse TCU they were CFP bound. Oh TCU is mediocre and will be lucky to make a bowl game? But they beat Nebraska and mighty CSU….Nebraska lost to Michigan State yesterday. Enough said.

Playing close games in CFB this year is the norm. The Portal has brought the lower tier closer to the middle tier, middle tier closer to the higher tier, higher tier closer to the elite tier. There is at least 1-2 more years of this with the free COVID year + RS year.

Hate to disagree with you, but Oregon State is a pretty damn good team. Very sound on defense with a good, not great O. DJ U has improved significantly this year vs being at Clemson. OSU went 10-3 last year and has a shot to do it again this year. OSU like Wazzou aren’t the easiest places to get to / recruit to.

OSU can really do damage / cause chaos to the CFP rankings. Last 2 games….Washington, @ Oregon for the final Civil War game for quite some time, Friday 11/24.

Oregon State will lose by 3+ TDs in both of those games. They are nowhere near on the same level, especially with Washington.

Amazing how Deion gets press while Washington kicks ass.

They are certainly better than Colorado by a large margin. A much larger margin than the final score indicated. But a team led offensively by DJ Ukulele can only be so good in my book.

We’ll see. There are no givens in CFB right now when talking about Top 20 matchups.

As far as UW, Oregon, I’ll take Oregon to beat them in Vegas in a few weeks at the P12 Championship game. Oregon to me personally is the best team in the country. I know UW beat Oregon, but Oregon had a lot of questionable coaching calls / sel& inflicted wounds.

They host a deflated USC next Saturday night at 10:30 on Fox (not FS1). Caleb Williams won’t lay down next week, but Dan Lanning has to be licking his chops watching that terrible defense.

Based on “rumors” Riley is already checked out and probably on his way to Vegas to take over that dysfunctional NFL franchise. No other possible explanation on how DC Grinch still has a job.

I mean DJ U is 6th (5th is Heisman front runner Nix) in the loaded P12 at QB with 2,014 yards, 18 TD’s to 4 INT’s and 6 more rushing TD’s. So we’ll see. OSU has a shot like I said to cause chaos in the CFP the final 2 weeks.

It may be true that there is no such thing as a “Quality Loss” but there certainly is a thing as a “Bad Loss”.

Every loss from Colorado this season has been close (with the exception of a very good Playoff-bound Oregon team). Until Deion has a Boston College type loss, haters gonna hate.

When Deion has a Bowling Green type loss you can @me.

so do you think your son is an NFL caliber QB? where is he on your kid rankings now?

You already seem to be @'d on anything related to Deion because it's your entire posting history for the last year.

Colorado does have a BG type loss. They blew that massive 2nd half lead against 3-6 Stanford who lost to FCS Sacramento State.

Since you again ignored the global point. What exactly was a good reason for demoting OC Sean Lewis? And what exactly is a good reason for not demoting DC Charles Kelly?

You can say “haters gonna hate” all you want, but Bowling Green has as many wins than any team Colorado has beaten. Heck, BG has a shot to play for the MAC Championship. GT should never have lost to BG, but it’s no worse than losing to Stanford at this point. Here are Colorado’s wins and remaining schedule.

Nebraska (5-4)
Remaining games: Maryland, @ Wisconsin, Iowa
TCU (4-5)
Remaining games: Texas, @ Baylor, OU
Colorado State (3-6)
Remaining games: SDSU, Nevada, @ Hawaii
Arizona Stats (2-7)
Remaining games: @UCLA, Oregon, Arizona

The only team with a chance at 6 wins and a bowl game is Nebraska. Which would require an upset to do so. Lol

If you had stayed up and watched the game, Deion made the same dumb coaching decisions that Geoff was famous for.
Your offense has around 50 yards the entire game, and by the grace of your defense you get a fumble in their territory to get a FG and make it a less than one score at 7-3. You stop OSU and they pin you inside the 10 with 44 seconds left. You throw 2 incompletions then run for no gain, and have to punt with 30 seconds left. They run the punt back then hit a pass and now you’re down 11 because you’re an idiot coach.

You get the ball back with 5 minutes left down 14 and fumble on a sack, which the officials gift you a recovery. Then take 4 minutes to score. What do you do? Kick it deep. OSU is averaging 5 ypc and of course gets the first down. Ball game.

If Colorado had played a more conservative game early, they would have been right there with them and put the pressure on OSU, but by the time they woke up, the lead was too big.

Reminded me of Geoff that would be ultra conservative in games like Clemson where we are down by 4 scores and he calls a timeout thinking they will fake a punt, then games against UCF going for broke when we are right with them. No strategy involved.

This thread is so full of hypocritical öööö talkers. Nobody in Deion's camp ever claimed they would be worldbeaters this year. If you had half a brain you would never jump on that bandwagon, his confidence is his MO and to get the players there he wants they have to sell that. Anybody who thought he would win out is a sidewalk fan that doesn't know anything about football.

No coach in his right mind is gonna walk into a program and say "we're probably in for a 5 win season, that's why you're paying me 10 million." Absolutely asinine that anybody is talking about Deion's attitude, he is doing just as any intelligent cfb fan knew he would this year, and I guarantee you the buffs program knew also.

I'm sure he has plenty of motives that are personal and goals like that are what drive a man. If you don't like that it probably explains why you haven't gotten a raise in the last 3 years or why you are sitting at home with your midget porn.

However, the idiots posting here that want to give every coach we hire 5 years to show results, then turn around and roast the buffs after they have won 400% more than they did last year, and beaten ranked teams, and played some close games have to be eating some mercury laden crawfish or something.

If you are going to discount wins like TCU, you also have to discount wins like Miami, and UNC because they were overrated. It just doesn't make any sense and I feel like some of you have been replaced by your wives on this board because your logic is broken AF.
