CFP is now as big of a joke as the BCS was

So you agree you will cry foul? You act like Bama went 6-2 in their division. They lost 1 game to the division winner.
Wisconsin lost one game to their conference winner. Played one more game. Both lost their last game.

Say what you will. I at least appreciate the consistency. The same process that allowed Ohio State to sneak in last year is what denied them this year.

It probably came down to Wisconsin or Alabama.

Ultimately the best system involves no eyeball test and no subjective committee of stuffed suits around a conference table.

No at large bids. 6 teams. All P5 Conference champions and a G5 champion, the process for selecting that team to be determined by the G5 conferences. Bottom line is that you must win your conference championship to play for the title.

Beginning of the year Bama scheduled FSU at a neutral site and everyone expected FSU to be playoff good. Alabama dominated and FSU’s year went down the drain with the hurt QB. It isn’t like they completely dodged OOC.

Needs to go to 8 teams. All 5 P5 champs, plus 3 at large. Could even guarantee the highest ranked non-P5 conference champ gets in, plus 2 at large.

I'd expand this rule so that the at large pool has to be a division winner,or have a better record than the team that won the opposite division.

For instance if the Atlantic runner up is FSU at 11-1 with a loss to Clemson and the Coastal winner was 9-3 (5-3) then FSU would be eligible.

The committee woyld get a list of at large teams that fit the criteria and seed then with the P5 champs so long as one G5 was in the pool every year.

First round home games, 2nd neutral sites, Champ on the weekend

Yes.

What is Bama’s argument to go ahead of Wisconsin?

CFP was one step forward and 2 steps backward thanks to replacing the BCS formula with this abominable committee.

I'd flip it and say two steps forward one step back.

Would you really want to go back to the two team BCS?

Agreed. And yet we still have people trying to "perfect" it even more by adding teams and more backroom selection of at-large teams.

These are the 4 I wanted. Bama deserves it over The OSU (1 loss vs 2) and Whiteboyconsin who would get mopped by any of the other 4. OSU got in last year because of the same logic after losing to Penn State in their champ game, its karma.

But I wanted Bama to play UGAy in the first round saving Clemson for the dawgs in the finale if they made it. Oklahoma won't hang with UGAg because their defense.

The committee's job is to put in the best 4 teams in the country. Does anyone here think OSU is better than Alabama?

OSU is better than Bama right now.

Bama is banged up and has the majority of their defense either out for the season or not starting.

Now, full strength Bama (team they had at the start of the season) is probably the best team in the country, especially with 4 weeks to prep. But they aren't the same team because of the injury bug. It's a bummer that UGA didn't have to play Bama in the first round of the playoffs, because that would almost certainly be an L for them (or would leave them beat up for a scary good Clemson team to whup).

I trust Vegas much more than the committee. They think Alabama is the best team.
