Coaching Question for the Board...

Well I guess I touched a nerve there. I have sent Techsamillion a private message with deals with my response to his post.

I leave that between me and him. Just wanted to let you know I love the Yellow Jackets. I just don't think we all have to be on the same page regarding our view of Coach Gailey and his abilities as a head coach to support Georgia Tech. I will continue to express my opinions and concerns about the program as I see fit.

Go Jackets!

Can't we all just get along?

Seriously, none of us really knows what we're talking about here. (for anyone with college coaching experience, AD experience, etc I apologize). For the rest of us it's fun to try to rationalize what we think we see or what we feel. But the bottom line is we'd be way lost if we had anything to do with actually making decisions that affect the program.

As an example, From my limited coaching experience it's WAY difficult to make accurate judgements on talent, demeanor, etc of players you haven't seen in actual game situations. And that's when you spend hours with the players. Watching from home or the stands may make you think you know something, but that's all - you (and I) think.

So why not calm down a little and try to enjoy things?

Well, Personally I don't know what Prozac, USAC, or NASCAR or whatever has to do with football discussion. Drugs are a crutch for lack of willpower anyway. Anti-depression, hunger suppression, uppers, downers, and nicotine! Never tried any of these unless cold beer fits in somewhere. I hope Jerry the Jacket did'nt place Techsamillion in a straight jacket. Man lets talk football!

Ahmen, Stateline. Everybody has their problems. We come here to talk football, GT football.

By the way, is it OK to mix Darvicets with gin?

I am not referring to Penicillin! Just the kind I mentioned. Anti-depressents, hunger-suppresents, uppers, downers, hell anything created in the last 20 years that is a substitute for exercise, laughter, rest and anything else that can be a stress reliever. Do you need them? If you THINK you do then go ahead and bellyup to the pill machines. Just don't forget to bring your wallet! Personally I suggest you do as I do, which is mentioned above plus buy yourself a Harley. Nothing in Prozac can beat riding your scooter in the cool breezes up in the N.Georgia and Tennessee mountains.

<font size="2" face="Arial, Verdana, Sans-Serif">While you were riding your Harley the last 20 years, the medical profession began to recognize the biological basis of many ailments formerly thought to be issues of "will power," or a "dominating mother." Before penicillin and related medications, many thought of the ailments they treat as issues of "demon possession," or "bad air."

You are genetically lucky if you don't suffer from depression or any other debilitating brain chemistry problems. That luck does not give your notions about the therapeutic value of bike-riding any particular weight.

Well, to answer the original question, yes, I would bee VERY upset. Do not think that means I would fire him after one year, but you can not stand still. You are getting better or you are getting worse. Why hire someone not better than who you replaced? Content with losing to ugag, regardless of score? To hell with you.

Only because record numbers are being sold and most accidents are first year riders who do not take the Georgia Motorcycle Safety course. Also mixing booze and bikes has the same conseqence as cars, trucks, SUV's etc.

The immune system is the best defense for any ailment. It has been proven medically, the number one boosting agent for the immune system is a happy outlook on life.

It is no wonder the comedians Bob Hope, George Burns, Milton Berle, etc. live to be around 100 years old. I have noticed many of the people who have lived over 100, and are interviewed by the press, often say they take nothing seriously and try to enjoy life.

Laughter and a good clean heart is a great attribute to health.
