I just wish he liked Monken a tenth of how much he favors KW.
Other than not being a fan of the option, I don't know what Dewberry has stuck in his craw about PJ. We ran a pro style offense for seven years under Chan and didn't beat the Mutts. We ran the triple and won three times in Athens - and shoulda won once more there and at least twice in Atlanta with it.

I work with a big auburn donor. He shat all over any notion of Malzahn being run out of auburn or considering Tech. Apparently the money people at Auburn are happy with Malzahn and it is the trailer park crew pushing ouster.

Sounds like Auburn is doing everything in their power to get rid of Malzahn without having to buy him out.

There are reports that indicate otherwise. Those could be as reliable as 680 reporting Whiz was offered the job, though.

I’m hearing the opposite - that boosters are blocking multi-year contracts and Malzahn is stuck as they try to get him to quit without forfeiting the buyout

Could be. If Bobby Lowder wants him gone then I guess it happens. The guy I worked with did not even entertain the notion though.

I know the auburn fans on the sec rant have spun this, but I haven’t seen any other mentions other than one article which also cited the 680 story.

One of the biggest Auburn donors is a member of my wife’s family....not YellaWood but in the same giving stratosphere. He isn’t ‘happy with Malzahn.’

Back when the news had broken about the phone call with Cam Newton's dad & the $200K mention, we were at a family reunion and I asked him if he thought it was true that Cam had been paid to come to Auburn. His response was, "Oh yeah. Hell, a good offensive lineman will cost you almost six figures. I'm just surprised we could get a QB for two hundred grand."
