never coached, recruited, played, probably even been in the south

you think we are going to stock GT with cali players if we get RN?

Randy recruited florida while at BC, I should know he recruited me! He coached me at GT. COached us to a NCAA record 7 fumbles returned for TD's and we were 2nd to FSU in sacks and folks that FSU was the REAL FSU, not the one we see nowadays, instead the one that would wipe the floor with ANY ACC team right now by 30.

RN good luck learning the hill, learning the constraints, learning to understand the UGA/GT rivalry.

You guys want a big name I guess, When RIck leaves for a PAC 10 job in 3 years....oh well...

Nate, not saying hes going to get the job. At this point all three are legit candidates.

You know Dan isn't stupid and will have thought everything thru.

If we are going to limit it to those top 3, I would have to say Edsall has got to be the leading choice.

What are your thoughts on keeping Tenuta as DC with Edsall as HC? What is your take on Ryan Stewarts' article on 790? Thanks!
 
I am a pretty agreeable guy. If you threw out 100 names there would probably be only 5 that I would dead solid against and RN is one of those.

I want a coach that will run a clean program and I don't want a habitual liar.
 
he isnt our coach..he is a UGA grad coaching at Auburn last I heard...

I think its ok if I have an opinion

if he is our coach, then I will support him but not before it. Why are you so "in" to him anyway?

You need to spend your time and energy busting Drad's chop's for even considering a Dawg as coach, as he is with Muschump, and lay off this Neuheisel hire..
By far imho the Muschump hire would be worst...

I have heard the ole argument, well Vince Dooley was a Auburn grad and Bobby Dodd was a UT grad..That is way off base and a baseless comparison.
I don't think anyone can find where here in the south that ANY school hired an ex-player of an ARCH RIVAL school as their head football coach...i.e. An Auburn hiring an ex-Alabama player or vice a versa...or Fsu hiring an ex-UF player or SC. hiring an ex-Clemson Player...Or ask yourself would Uga ever hire an ex-Gt player as coach...

Im telling you guys, if Drad makes the mistake of hiring Muschamp it will eventually blow up in his face..We will have a more divided fanbase than there was under Chan.

Randy had a blitzing, attacking, albeit undersized defense while he was here. Our defense wasnt as talented as what Tenuta has had. I think, but dont know, that Randy's defensive philosophy would mirror John's based on what I saw under him and watched John do.

I liked Ryan's article. Ryan knows football. Ryan loves GT.

We are the softest fan base in the entire south, besides Wake and Duke probably.
This guy is EXACTLY what we need.

some would love him, some would hate him, but atleast he'd force people to have an opinion and be interested in Tech football

would u not take your child to a doctor just because the doctor was a UGA grad? just an example

if he came in here and beat UGA in his 1st year, he would be embraced as one of our own, and u know it. As long as he wants to be at Tech, he's got every right to be here.

I agree with you 100%. Excitement and enthusiasm charged by a motivating coach is the prescription. Although our former coach was more chivalrous than King Arthur, he was less exciting than Charlie Weis at a salad bar.

Im grown up, I still want you to show me another example where it has been done? Not just a rival school but your ARCH rival..Not been done...
Alabama would never hire an ex-Auburn player NOR Ugag hiring an ex-GT player, nor SC. hiring an ex-Clemson player...They just wouldnt...

I still think it stinks thinking about...Hopefully Drad will think this through and not be the 1st to do this...He and we will regret it.
