Expansion Rumors…

I might add. Missouri to that list
I'd bet if you polled SEC fans and asked if they wanted to switch USuCk for Clemson, 90% would choose to trade

And Columbia SC is a craphole. Everyone who thinks SEC stadiums are so wonderful needs to visit South Carolina's crappy stadium and surroundings. They worked on it, and made it a bit better, but it is really a hell hole. Clemson looks like the louvre in comparison.

Good lord college football is run by douchebags and is a flaming pile of öööö now.
exactly - not even pretend that it's " college " , we go our way and you'll like it! Which was precisely UNC's approach to their lawsuit.

If I were King for a day, I'd merge the Big 10 plus Big 12 plus PAC 12 plus the ACC. I'd realign into four 13 Team divisions where you play the other 12 teams in your division annually. Top 16 teams (4 from each division) go into a playoff for the National Championship. Align with the bowls for the conference playoffs starting the 2nd or 3rd week of December and finish after New Years with the title game. Just freeze the SEC out and leave them hanging. Let them play for their "NCAA" championship against the AAC or Sun Belt or whatever.

Basketball you play a single game annually alternating home & away against 2 divisions (25 games). That gives 5-7 or so games every year for non-conf. Every game counts in this scenario.

Same for baseball, etc and all the minor sports.

I'd make it against the law for Arthur Blank to show his douchy face on the Falcons sideline

The SEC and the Mega-Conference would end up making about the same money, and the SEC would make a bout eleventy billion dollars more per team. Dumb.

At least one UGA fan wants Tech back in the SEC ---
UGA fans generally, aren't very smart. The smart thing for them to do would be to make us a yearly conference game, since they are most likely to win the game. Being the dim bulbs of the state, they prefer not to and to have to travel a bit further to play. Whereas you could have Florida, Auburn, GT, and USuCk on your schedule every season, now you have to go a bit further for an away game every other year to get your W, as opposed to just driving to a conference game in Atlanta

GA Tech joining the SEC makes common sense, but, unfortunately, does not make $$$ sense. And, from what I can tell, college football is all about the $$$.

Great article! I wish more people felt this way. It is true, that it would make perfect sense for Tech to be back in the SEC. Unfortunately, the powers that be would never let it happen. Thank you, Supersize.... for sharing this article!

GO JACKETS!

I’d have something similar but for all college sports and teams making up regional conferences of 20 teams with upper and lower divisions and relegation based on the previous year. I had a map drawn up long ago. But with a few teams making the FBS jump it’s obsolete I believe.

A thought on how to improve ACC revenues:
1) add Notre Dame as a Football member
2) add a 16th team (or 16, 17 and 18) from these Pac-12 Candidates:
a) Stanford
- regular Notre Dame opponent, helps recruit them to become ACC football
- impeccable academics
- San Fran / California TV sets, potential huge ACC Network increase in revenue
- Top Notch non-rev sports programs
b) Oregon
- "sexy" image, which means better TV ratings
- recent football success
- Nike money / image
c) Washington
- good academics
- Seattle / Washington TV sets
- Football history / track record

The ACC would need a 2-4 used luxury charter config 757/767's for all the coastal flights.

Probably a good thing that comments for that article were turned off (or not enabled). Pretty sure the vast majority of dwag fans would not be in agreement with the article.

I linked this on FB last night and about five dwagfans all responded with a "HELL NO!!"
