Expansion

I’d add Navy before those commies at Berkeley. At least they’re in the East too. Any school that thinks China is better than us deserves nothing from us. In athletics, academics, etc.
Stop being an asshole already.

Know who does care? School presidents
They hire athletic directors for a reason. Except in the case of TStan, let them do their jobs and stick to figuring out why the school had academic people misappropriating funds and exploiting relationships with vendors.

Shut the f-up jjerk. Who made you king of stingtalk?I
You bullshitjerk-off. Dam n you puss me off.
Oh my. I’m going to help you bro. JJ is a bullshitjerk-off. It’s one of the few things of value that we can appreciate about him. But, he means well.

Just calling it for what it is. Sorry, any institution that puts a foreign country in front of the US, especially one of our adversaries, they should have State and Federal funding cut from them. Athletics aside....and their football still sucks.

Cal Berkeley Ties to China
It's football moron. It is to watch football games. Your butthurt politics can öööö off.

Wrong. It's money. Nobody wants to watch Cal. Certainly no one on the east coast.

And politics definitely matter. All of politics. It's how Georgia Tech got in this mess in the first place. It would still be in the SEC if not for politics.

Politics and money is what rules the world. Cal is on the wrong side of both.

That's the issue. Politics and money change with the wind. All this "conference armament" can go into the crapper in a flash when the powerbrokers decide the business model is failing.

The new B1G contract is really 3 contracts with Fox, CBS and NBC sports for a total of $7B over only 7 years, or $1B annually to begin in 2024. By comparison, the ACC signed their "renegotiated" deal with ESPN in 2016 for 20-years, till 2036, at $400M annually. This means that the B1G's newest contact will have expired 5 years prior to the expiration of the current ACC contract.

Horseshit. You don't speak for me or anyone else. I get it. You hear "Cal" and "Berkeley" and it triggers your inner Karen. Now öööö off.

Rest assured, I don't think anyone would confuse what I say as "speaking for you".

The California schools are irredeemable. It's what happens when you accept a postmodern moral construct: you lack morals.

Don't let these commie freaks in our conference, nothing good will come of it. Bolt to the SEC or B1G if given the opportunity.

A lone researcher engaging in (alleged) academic fraud could happen anywhere and it does happen all over the place. I don't see how that is an indictment of Stanford. He seems to have been pressured out over it.

Yes, he was the university president, but the people who hire university presidents don't go and vet candidates' past research work. They aren't qualified--that's for the experts in their respective fields. Unfortunately some researchers do commit fraud to get ahead in their careers.

Your article doesn't prove anything other than 2 idiotic members of Congress are trying to prove that they are doing something of importance.

And before you froth yourself up any further, you'd better check this out... https://www.shenzhen.gatech.edu/

Not that I think the ACC should expand, but I’d rather watch Cal or Stanford than Wake Forest or Syracuse.
No offense to your opinion, but Wake Forest has been one of the most consistent programs of late. Outside of the 4-5 COVID season, the last losing season Wake has had was 2016. There are other ACC options you could mention over Wake.

Cal literally brings nothing to the table other than a potential pod for Stanford if 2 other WC schools are added.
