Gibbs gone

I was told earlier today that several Tech players had changed their Twitter profile pic to this. Does anyone know what it might mean?

The fact that they can come together for bullshyt like this instead of the snap count or being able to avoid low snaps and other in game screw ups lets me know that their Mental Focus is way out of whack.

Maybe they should come together for things that help them play better in Games.

Examples like this is why I have always been in favor of cutting the non producers & dead weight from the Roster each year, gotta keep guys hungry and focused on perfect execution in Games and winning Games.

Personally , I could care less what it means!

I agree with you on their priorities, but I would still like to know what they mean by using that.

Gibbs wasn't coerced to leave so he could focus on football. He left because we suck. It ain't complicated.
He had the 4th most all purpose yards of any back in FBS.
Another strong performance next season would have accomplished his purpose of leaving after next season for NFL.
How many games would we need to have won for him to stay? 6, 7, 8, 9?
He won’t get as many touches playing for a top 10 program next season. And his performance will probably drop playing against better competitors. The risk of injury also increases. The lack of commit and finishing what he started looks bad IMO.
I understand his frustration. But he may not be the #1 back in a better offense.
The risk/ reward ratio is a gamble. I would have stayed put. Russell Wilson could have played QB for much better teams than NCST. But he chose to stay. And it worked out great for him.

But I wish him. The best.

Russell Wilson transferred to Wisconsin for his last year of eligibility.

There's a lesser gamble transferring in the eyes of NFL Scouts.

All the NFL cares about is are you free of major injuries, better blocking, and a better OLine gives him a better chance to get thru a season free of major injuries.

NFL Scouts no longer care about Bowl Games (McCaffrey was a Top10 draft pick after skipping his Bowl Game).

NFL Scouts no longer care about "finishing what you started".

What they care about is 3 yrs in a P5 S & C Program, 20-24 Games vs FBS Programs to evaluate if you can play, and finally are you injury free.

Now that’s a hot take.

Seriously that’s probably the worst example you could have chosen to prove your point.
Where would Wilson have transferred to improve his NFL draft status? Georgia? Florida? USC? He would have been lucky to see playing time.

Geez, it seems like only yesterday you and RW92 were telling me that wasn't how the NFL draft worked.

I still stand by that. Gibbs' talent is apparent without having to play behind a great OL. I don't blame the kid for wanting to enjoy college football but his draft position will be high wherever he goes.

Now go öööö yourself.

I doubt Bama takes the package deal with Sims.
With Sims, I wonder who cut whom, generally think that was not a smart move.
I also wonder about the late season injuries.
