Gibbs was incredible today

This thread should be made into a 1980's style movie where we are the plain, nerdy girl who gets heartbroken when the gorgeous, big boobed blonde, finally hooks up with the captain of the football team - who went from zero to hero by scoring FOUR touchdowns against Andrew Johnson High School in the city championship game.

I am delighted Gibbs committed to us and played two years. He showed why he is so highly regarded. He is an incredible back in space. I understand why he wanted to see what he could do at Bama, although as a Tech grad and son of an Auburn man, I only cheer for them to beat the Dawgs.

I did find his lack of effort at times to have been frustrating. He did not seem inclined to do the hard things, the little things right, while a Jacket. That is on him, his head coach, and position coach. Saban is good for him, for he demands effort and does not treat any of his five stars as prima donnas; he has enough he does not have to.

I see Gibbs much the same way I view Acuna. Incredible talents who can do extraordinary things on the playing field, but sometimes unwilling to give 100% at all times. That has a tendency to catch up with you and limit the greatness of your career. I hope Gibbs learns a lot at Bama and is able to maximze his success as a collegiate and then as a pro.
Acuna can use the excuse of not speaking the language and coming from a different culture as a reason for his laziness or being overly dramatic when he has an injury. Gibbs is from Rome, they are pretty much like us.

Dalton. Griffin was Rome.

In the epilogue of this movie, ten years later the plain, nerdy girl is called to jury duty. The case that is brought up is the big boobed, blonde girl on trial for prostitution. The blonde pleads that she was trying to raise money to pay for her high school sweetheart husband’s surgery. It seems he needs a liver transplant from living a wanton life. He has no money of his own as his life has gone from zero to hero to less than zero.

Gibbs ain’t here anymore. This thread is pointless

I don’t see any threads dedicated to any other of our transfers out.

He left. It is done.

Gibbs was phenomenal in the epic Bama vs Tenn game. He was the best player on the field considering two teams loaded with future NFL all pros. Oh what could have been. öööö you collins. öööö you.

It's time to move on. I understand your personal feelings for Jahmyr. But he doesn't love you anymore. He found a new bonham in Tuscaloosa. It's not personal. Please seek counseling.

Calvin Johnson played for two teams in his entire career:
Georgia Tech and the Detroit Lions

I respect a man who takes on challenges rather than avoiding them. Jahmyr Gibbs Up

Personally, Gibbs is my favorite player in college football. I'll watch every bama game this season, and hope he rips UGA for 200 yards. He came to Tech with MUCH bigger options available, he could have flipped, but he didn't out of loyalty. He stayed for a couple of years with a clown coach, and bolted when there was no light at the end of the tunnel.

Tech fans who hate Gibbs for leaving just don't care about the kid or his future.

Can't wait to see him in the league.

This 100%. If our coach could have had us playing half-ass competitive football and winning at least half, Gibbs would still be here. Nobody wants to lose and I understand when people say it's a cop-out to just up and leave a losing program but if it's all due to coaching as it seems to have been the case, then it's much more understandable IMO.

Bama lost

Nobody cares about Gibbs. His NFL chances had *nothing * to do with where he went to school. His stats would have been much better in the ACC. Your entire argument is bullshit.

So proving yourself in the toughest conference in CFB, at the greatest program in CFB, in the biggest games in CFB, means nothing? Got it. The delusion is real.

I don’t give a öööö about him or his future.

We don't hate Gibbs. He has nothing to do with Tech football anymore. He quit. Stop starting threads weekly about his performance with mistress Bama. Get over him.

Yeah. Because NFL scouts are so poor at their jobs, they couldn't possibly spot that kind of talent unless it was competing in the sEc. Really just blind luck they found players like Lawrence Taylor, Megatron, Jerry Rice, Grady Jarret, Barry Sanders, Trevor Lawrence, Joe Montana, Howie Long, Jason Taylor.....etc etc etc. Real shame those guys never made any money.

Lol count up the number of bama first rounders in the past 3 years, then count up the number of first rounders in GT HISTORY. I'll wait.

Gibbs will have a higher draft position coming from the SEC/bama, which equates to millions of dollars. there are first rounders from the SEC that had no business being first rounders simply because they played in the SEC. Sure the NFL will still see him, but now they'll pay a premium rather than getting a late round "steal".

Great examples, but its chess not checkers. Imagine the greatest receiver of all time (Jerry) being a steal at the #16 pick because he played at Booneyville U. but if he played at UMiami or Notre Dame, he'd be top 5 and had a MUCH bigger contract (ask tim brown). Checkmate.
