No that's his "market value for NIL" per some web site that tries to give you an idea of what a player could get on the "open market" if they transferred. I don't believe that is based on current NIL deals for any players.

He signed a big NIL with Mercedes and another last year with Certified Finishes but I also heard he got a rather large one (7 figures or pretty near it), possibly from a collective to stay at GT after last season and not transfer to LSU.

We cannot be paying people not to transfer. Perhaps this whole drama has a simple explanation - perhaps the payments stopped.

It will be interesting to see where he transfers to. Recent history with the portal suggests he will not end up at another P5 program unless he's willing to be a backup. I'd be shocked if a factory is knocking at his door at this point in his career.
