Ivey in the portal.

Collins has had a lot of defections for a supposed player's coach. Haven't seen the same with Pastner in basketball. Sjolund is the only bball transfer I can think of.

Not really. Everyone has a lot of transfers out. Basketball isn't really a comparison because of the numbers but he did also have Didenko and a dude whose name escapes me. Edit: Asanti Price. He and Didenko were the entire 2019 class as far as HS recruits go

That's true, football has much higher roster numbers so you'd have to compare ratios rather than raw transfer numbers...

So any future player who has an outspoken mother on social media should not be allowed to attend GT?

Okay.

Perhaps the Supreme Court should be held to the same standard then. Because Clarence Thomas’s wife is batshit crazy.

Lets see.... will it be Deion's LLC companies that will pay? Or maybe a Texas A&M LLC? Maybe Alabama found some new LLC money..... keep going College Football... about to lose me... and free up my Saturdays.
And we wouldn’t miss you.

There were over 300 players in the transfer portal last time I looked. The TP has turned College football into travel ball where players switch teams any time they aren’t happy, get their feelings hurt, don’t get immediate playing time, etc. It’s stupid, but it’s still better than the NFL right now.

I have no problem with any of this - transfer portal or NIL. The system will recalibrate itself. Right now, it’s all new so the market is in a frenzy. We’ve already seen the early numbers which is most players don’t find a new home and those who do primarily go down a level. As for a guy like Ivey, go on and find something better and live with your decision. I have no problem with it. I’ll also have no problem laughing when he is back living with mamma with a worthless SEC general studies degree. That may be harsh but he’s far from a sure thing. Many players way better than him in college haven’t made it. My prediction is he’ll get lost on the depth chart wherever he goes.

Rumors are true ---

Good luck to Mr Ivey. I need to take some time to reflect on what's going on with college football.

Reading the Rivals article, anyone know why he lost his number last fall and had to earn it back? Article says he lost #15 and was given #62. He earned #15 back. What happened?
