There is lots of communication through back channels/middlemen. A lot of kids know where they are going before they put their name in. Actually, the smart ones do.

Oh no. I don't believe I ever saw anyone badmouth Ivey. The problem was his mom got on the Facebook GT football page öööö talking Tech fans. I'm sure I have a copy of what she said on my phone somewhere...
