Johnson reflects on the train wreck that was Collins

Both. That whole article is CPJ ego masturbation. Oh it bothered me that he talked öööö about my offense. I was the best since Bobby Dodd…

I know from 1st hand account that he said before “They were nothing before me, I’d like to see them try after me.” That is my biggest problem with CPJ. He thinks Tech was nothing before him. And bunch of our fans agree with him because they’re more CPJ fans than Tech fans.
Johnson is a dick. More at 11.

We already knew all of this. He’s also a really good football coach (recruiter not so much).

Here's the skinny:
“We didn’t spend a lot of time on uniforms,” Johnson said. “And swag. We worked on trying to play hard-nosed, tough football and be blue collar.”
Some of our fans don't want that. They want the dancing bitch clown show. Fine, they're entitled to their opinion. They got their way & we all suffered for 4 years as we circled the drain. Their attempts to make excuses for every challenge is ridiculous. Clown made choice and they were ööööed up. They're not entitled to are rewriting facts because not everything was perfect for them or went their way. Clown has the worst win percentage of any GT Head Football Coach ever. It's not even ööööing close. Why those bitches are on here crying all the time because the lost their girl is beyoned me. You'd think being embarassed on national tv with the Wreck & caption would have been enough to shut them up, or the historic losses- VT, Clemson, ND, mutt, Citadel, direction Illini, but not even that level of humiliation dashed their love for all things clown.

Key's won some games. He appears to be a bue collar coach which is what we need. He hasn't said it because he's a man and men don't act like little clown bitches, but you can read his eyes & he hated working for the clown bitch. Gimme Key or somebody like him. Bring in another dancing bitch like the clown & it's not gonna be pretty. Sorry if this offends the clown show fan club, but Johnson basically answered damn near everything we were wondering. Re-Todd botched the transition and ended up with the clown. He ööööed us all for 4-5 years, possibly more. Now we got a major transition on our hands, one that requires a complete culture change. Sad it came to this, but at least we're on the road to recovery. I trust Batt to make the right choice.

CPJ had a much longer period of sustained success. Ross won the title but left for the NFL soon afterward. In terms of extended success, CPJ is the best since Dodd.
I think you're over looking O’Leary but I guess people don't believe in rebuilds here so just looking at wins and losses through his tenure should be all that matters.

I think most of his assessments were fair, and I respect that he mostly stayed quiet over the past four years.

The most interesting part to me was him saying that TStan wanted him to stay another year. For years I've heard some people claim that he was basically fired/pushed out. Hopefully we can at least put to bed the notion that Tech wronged him in some way.
Repost but yep

We have to trust Batt. We really have no choice. I had heard great things about Stan. I'm not sure what happened. Maybe he got all caught up in some internal narrative that we needed to change culture. Our culture when PJ left was nobody wanted to play us. We were hell to play against. We were old-school, physical, aggressive, and played to the last snap every game. Yes, we lost some games we could have won, but we won some games we shouldn't, too. My only gripe with CPJ was that he was going to need to update his blocking as the NCAA was slowly making his basic scheme illegal. I think he knew it and just chose to call it a wrap on his HoF career. Speaking of which... how many other coaches have we had that have been on that ballot since Dodd?

I've been around guys who came in and thought they had to change the culture. Almost without fail they screwed things up, especially in the short run. You never come into a new place with the prime intention of changing culture - you come in to accomplish the mission of the organization. Your value network demands it. Then, if you can do it w/o screwing things up, you tweak culture in the background. Culture takes years to truly change and accomplishing the mission can't take that long off. You'll be gone long before you do that. Hopefully, Collins learned that, and more hopefully, Tech fans learned that. I'm not terribly confident of either.

The fact that his comment doesn’t bother you, when he says you were nothing before I came here, and you stick up for him instead, shows what a bunch of cuckolds you lot are. That explains a lot of our fanbase where when someone tells y’all you ain’t öööö, you agree with them instead and defend their opinion over the opinion of one of your own who says wait a minute, this guy is full of öööö. ööööing imbeciles.
Scheme > school for some of the Option Fan Club members. Always has been.

@stinger78 I heard great things about him also, but my face to face encounters were really lacking. I thought he was kind of disingenuous, lacked depth of character, etc. Wish I coud pinpoint the word, obsequious is the closest one I can think of.

That video of him & clown after we'd gotten pasted 2 weeks in a row about summed it up visually. That letter he sent imploring us not to give up on the clown was nauseating. All time historically bad GT AD and that says a lot considering his predecessor was Sasquatch.

Yeah it's going to be biggest transition in the history

Say what you will but the fact remains that hiring a coach now is ten fold easier than it was 4 years ago. But you sound like we may have the biggest transition in college football on our hands so I don't know.

Johnson said he believes he had the best 10 year run since Dodd. I'm not sure if you noticed but Ross and O'Leary weren't around for 10 years and jumped for new challenges (Ross) or greener pastures (O'Leary). So what he is saying is probably correct.

But you all can continue with your fascination of taking a big dogshit dump on Johnson, it is what you do.

That’s the way I took it
