Btw why is everyone assuming Kamara would be an A-back? He was 195 out of HS. He could grow into a B-Back.

with custis coming in at bback and us losing 5 abacks this year, his chances of starting at aback are better than bback. I'll take him wherever we need him, but i'm not at all opposed to larger abacks. perkins and days are both over 200.

Who wants him to come to Tech? Him or his Mom? If his Mom didn't make him play with his brother close to home where she could keep an eye on him I don't think he would be at GT.

Please explain to me how playing A-back prepares you for a NFL career as a slot receiver or an every down back in a pro set? Do we even use route trees?

This is the kind of sh!t that makes no sense to hear from Tech "fans". Unless you're a relative and he confided in you then it's obvious you don't really have any idea why he signed. But WTH, its a public message board so you might as well speculate in the least flattering way for GT.

Both great high school backs. I don't think you can say who is better until they play college ball.

Kamara competing for time could only improve our situation. It was a lot of fun having Dwyer and Allen on the field at the same time. I think we would find a way to get the best guys on the field again if this situation happens.

The first part of your post is pure speculation. The facts are that he signed a LOI to play football at GT as an A-Back. That shows that a 4-star athlete signed with us to play A-Back which refutes your earlier post.

The second part of your post has nothing to do with the original post you made, to which I responded. But I do applaud your effort to try and justify yourself. Even though there is no causal connection between your first post and the second part of your second post.

If you were arguing that GT hasn't proven that playing aback translates to skills useful in the nfl or that that in turn hurts recruiting, you'd be correct. Arguing that good players don't want to have to cutblock or play in our offense is rather speculative, unless you can cite players that we missed out on because they think the aback position sucks or that cut blocking sucks. The fact that we've had guys play the position with a high degree of success in college seems to contradict that sentiment.

However, based on your posts, it seems like you just want to bigcry instead of reasonably discussing an issue. It isn't particularly useful.
