If it’s true that we have the 2nd youngest team in college football, then I can see Key getting the Job to see how he will develop them. The O line really had one of their best games today.

Were you there to see it? I wasn’t so I’m not trolling.I will say this. There were more GT fans in Sanford and Son this years than at BDS@HGF last year.
George O'leary ring a bell?I like when people compare Key to Dabo. A team taking a chance on some unknown position/interim coach and succeeding happens all the time, if you think once in my lifetime is all the time.
O'Leary was DC on a MNC team. I knew who he was and was excited for him.George O'leary ring a bell?

The question is when will they be able to do more? It's good not to ask them to do what they can't (though we didn't show such restraint with the right ends), but they also need to be able to do enough to win.I think the OL looked good because of the play-calling. We weren't running the ball up the middle into Carter. Hell, we only ran the ball 27 times (for only 53 yds). It isn't like we owned the LOS except for one drive. Most of the passes were either very short, quick passes or long, back-shoulder throws down the field. We didn't ask them to pass block for 7-step drops.
Don't ask them to do things that they can't do. It was a good game plan, but it was never going to be enough to win over 60 minutes.

Talking about the offensive line, which is what you were talking about was it not?We are down to our 3rd/4th QB. Do you think many teams would play with UGA with their 3rd/4th QBs? C'mon man.
It’s hard to tell. Not very good but at the same time I’ve liked some of the game plans theyve put together. I’m not sure Key is my first choice but on the other hand I don’t think I have a first choice. For those who want Key, how would you feel about it if he retained Long? Not a loaded question, genuinely curious.
Our 1st and 2nd QBs didn’t exactly run up and down the field on anybody either. We are down to our 3rd/4th QB. Do you think many teams would play with UGA with their 3rd/4th QBs? C'mon man.

Ah but the question isn't what Should be done, it's how would you take that specific circumstance? Assuming Key is you main choice. My thoughts
If its Key find a New OC
If its Chadwell you better keep Thacker and d staff over your bum DC
after MNC-then DC on a NFL team, Then DC in a GT 1-7 team led by L**** who lost the team running his buddies kid, Tommy Luginbill as QB over DD. GOL as DC takes over and goes 0-3 on the rest of the season (Key did better). The following year the team 4-7 next 5-7.Then we took off (good OC) ...So interim coaches can be a good HC choice. This tale is also about the benefit of hiring good assistant and OC/DC coaches.O'Leary was DC on a MNC team. I knew who he was and was excited for him.
The Key-O'Leary comparison just isn't a good one and people need to stop making it. There is a big difference because O'Leary had very little connection to the failure of Lewis: they were only together for part of a season and as you alluded to Lewis caused other separate issues that made things worse. Key has been associated with the previous failure coach for the entire duration and we are not yet 100% sure what extent Key played in the OL/offensive failings vs Collins.after MNC-then DC on a NFL team, Then DC in a GT 1-7 team led by L**** who lost the team running his buddies kid, Tommy Luginbill as QB over DD. So which is it? Can't run a winning offense cuz we got no offensive line or we got no offense we got Chip Long? For those who want Key, how would you feel about it if he retained Long? Not a loaded question, genuinely curious.
