Key No Longer a HC Candidate

It was whatever Collins said was the scheme, and I sure never saw one.
Brent Key will continue to have that problem because he was the OL coach for 3.5 years of a terrible OL and he’s about to end his first stint as HC with 2-6. Maybe the excuses you listed are true but fact remains that buck stops with you if you’re the head of a player group or the head coach. That’s how recruits will see it too.

That may well prove to be the case, and if he finishes with only 2 wins, I wouldn't support him either. But we are not yet at that point. We will not beat the mutts, but beating VT, Miami, and possibly UNC are reasonable possibilities. Hell, Miami took 4 overtimes today to beat UVA, so Miami must suck bad too.

I root for Georgia Tech regardless of the coach and I don’t make decisions on who should get hired. But losing a game where he was favored and not even covering the spread today don’t make me optimistic that he’s winning 3 out of the last 4 games.

Definitely strikes against him, and he must bear the blame as HC, but Long last week, and Thacker today lost those games.

Key could be less expensive. And let’s face it, 3 wins a year against Western Carolina and Jax State, with Furman on occasion is about what we can accomplish in the current CFP world.

Let’s keep our cost low.
Who let Dave Brainless in on StingTalk?

What you don’t know and I do from inside sources is that Saban offered him whatever he wanted to remain at Alabama.
That's different though. You imagine Bama recruits go there cuz of the assistants? They go there to play for Bama and Saban. Truth is our program and their's are light years apart. No comparison. Narrow the gap, but that's a whole helluva lot of hard work.

You are absolutely correct!

If only we could hire a guy who can recruit 5 stars to a team recruits would never think of going to. Like maybe to an FCS team.

The UVA game obviously did him no favors, but today, at least with Pyron FINALLY in there, we actually moved the ball and scored 2 TDs, one totally because of Pyron's determination. He could have been stubborn and stuck with Gibson, like Collins would have done, so at least give him credit for that.
We lost by 25 pts. That ööööing sux.
