The argument that the coach must be extended to ensure they have four years remaining for recruiting purposes is a bogus idea created by coaches and agents to ensure a big buy out.
I have zero interest in going 3-O again. It's a program killer. You trade some wins in the here and now for losing long-term... as in you kill energy & outside perspective around your program, kill recruiting, kill any shot you have at attracting new/young fans who want to see something more exciting than 3 yds and a cloud of dust. I get that all this losing over the past 3 seasons AIN'T IT either... but there's some middle ground somewhere where we can win games and compete with the bigger programs without going straight 3-O.Maybe we should prioritize picking a coach & scheme with a proven track record (Option or not) instead of dismissing things that work due to prejudice. Listening to the fans with what you described as "sense" is what got us here.
No. He rode CPJs coattails and got worse as his players matriculated.Ken Niumatalolo might be looking for a job soon. May be worth throwing him a bone.
I remember thinking to myself after we lost to UGA 51-7 in '02 that I would never forgive Gailey. These days, that result is expected under Coach Clown:
19: 52-7
20: wiped out
21: 45-0 (could have been a lot worse)
Yep, with the transfer portal the way it is, players can just enter the portal as soon as they know their coach is going to be fired. The argument that the coach must be extended to ensure they have four years remaining for recruiting purposes is a bogus idea created by coaches and agents to ensure a big buy out.

I mean, a cut block trades your blocker for a defender (your guy goes to the ground, and ideally the defender does too). You could still run all the plays with the A-backs staying on their feet and blocking traditionally. The new cut block rules are making option offences hard to run. You are no longer allowed to block below the knees outside of the tackle box. So now those smaller A backs cannot swing outside an block defenders with a dive. Before this ruling I'd be ok going back to Monken or Bohannan but I think this new rule will significantly change how option offence run.
He's 105-77 and can schedule 6 non p5 schools a year. 0-2 this season. no
Oh I'm just arguing against him getting worse once the CPJ recruits left. They actually got better once the CPJ recruits left. He's 105-77 and can schedule 6 non p5 schools a year. 0-2 this season. no
That was the game that killed my dad's confidence in the whole gameDitto. I was in Athens that day and ffs it was awful. It would be many years before I’d go to a GT-UGA game in Athens again.

Lacking a sense of humor seems to be a common theme when it comes to anything GT sports. If we can't laugh at our own team's woes, then we have no business criticizing anybody else, but I digress.I was being sarcastic. I thought it was obvious, but I guess it’s tough to tell with our fan base.
