Official postgame: We WON!!!!

My cable company (WOW) now streams everything, so a DVR is no longer needed, or even possible. All recordings are made to "the cloud", and they remain there until I delete them. They went this route more than a year ago. It has some flaws, but the big positive is that I can record multiple progams at the same time.
I recorded it, but I haven't been able re-watch it yet. My tracking knob is broken. Time to get a new VCR.

My favorite post game moment: security guy has student in a bear hug trying to drag him off the field. Student is actually a little bigger than him, and even though he is being lifted off the ground is screaming with happiness. Doesn’t seem to care what security is doing.

Watson (#2) is cheering near them, looks over and tells the guard to stop. The guard lets the guy go and him and Watson exchange a hand shake.

Honestly, something needs to be done about security across the board. It is even happening at some concert venues.

There was absolutely no reason to keep the band from playing The Horse after the field was cleared Saturday night

Was there ever a reason given as to why the band didn't play Horse? Was it due to the ACC Huddle going on at the opposite end of the field and they didn't want that in the background? Does it have to do with copyright infringement if it went over the air? Just strange that the band just started to pack up and leave.

I think maybe there’s some thing about not playing when the field is stormed or something? (I know we’ve done it in the past, but I’ve also seen some weird situations where the band didn’t play.)

Any band alums have insight?

We Came As Romans?? To quote the late great Keith Moon rock may not be dead, but it’s starting to smell funny.

I only recall not playing it once or twice. One was at a basketball tournament where we were the first game and had to GTFO for the next game to start. I think one of the others was one of the games at the cesspool where things were fairly antagonistic between us and mutts at the end and the police wanted us on the bus and gone.

Other times to not play horse were if you were playing another event later in the day. It’s bad luck to play after the horse, so basketball pep band or volleyball band members would lay out if they were playing later.

On the band (current band parent): they were told not to play by AA, band director told the band; said there was a safety concern given all the people on the field or so many students in the stands.

We heard they “shut it down” if field is stormed. It could have been that given how long the students took to get off the field that the stadium crew wanted everyone to leave so they could go home.

The hurt UNC player was put in an Ambulance that was parked in the tunnel (under North stands. The people leaving the field got in the way and then got stuck when that happened.

Would have been better if they had been in the middle of the field. FWIW.

If he had held onto the ball the field might not have gotten stormed. IIWII.

Yeah, they handled that weirdly. They were carrying the guy off the field on a maintenance cart after the game was over and the field was stormed, through the crowd. Shoulda carried him off before the game was over if that was necessary. It was a cluster.

This seemed like a bigger mess in terms of disorganization and trying to clear the field than in other field stormings in the past, where they just kind of let things happen and just tried to protect people and goalposts.
