Ole Miss opens -21.5

I expect a shootout. I think the over should be over 70pts for sure. I think Buster F finds a way to exploit the 3-4/3-3-5. Our D hasn't shown that it can contain a balanced offense nor put pressure on a QB. We're now down 2 DEs unless Kelly is cleared to play on Sat. We need to blitz either the LB or S on delayed blitzes. Their offense certainly wasn't the offense we played last year. They've lost some playmakers. If King doesn't force the ball and we take what they give us field wise while on O, I actually like our chances to keep it close or even pull an upset.
If.....our OL can give King time to scan and throw it Then we have a puncher’s chance

How bad did we get beat last year at home? Now we on road..... ? Tech covers spread 1st half then we realize still no depth..... hopefully dead wrong!

I'm expecting a W delivered or we're doomed for mediocrity this season. Lville was our screw up game. It should be out of our system or it time to come to terms with the fact that......this just ain't it.

It seems like this game may play to our perceived strengths. Miss’s running game is not good. Great news because our run defense is not good. They rely on a passing game and our secondary is supposedly a team strength.

Miss’s passing defense is not great but not horrible either.

or maybe I’m completely wrong here.

Our pass D cannot be very good without a pass rush. If their QB can camp all day waiting, then they will get receivers open. Thacker has got to find a way to pressure the QB.

So, here's the deal:

1) the defense is what got us 4 wins last year. Point blank, the offense did absolutely nothing and the defense saved our asses specifically Key's. Key HAD to consider keeping Thacker as a result even though he, like most everyone else, knew the results were likely most attributable to the 2 senior LBs and Keion White. Still Thacker called some outstanding games.
2) feelers were sent out and interviews performed for several DCs, but we got turned down by everyone who was an obvious upgrade.

As a result, Key was left with only one real option: give Thacker a "prove it" year. I don't agree with bringing Marco Coleman back, but that was Key's preference. Coach Semore leaving was not our choice and we did the best we could in backfilling, but I think that's another downgrade. I've never been sold on Tillman either. In short, I think we're going to see a whole new staff on that side of the ball soon enough (unless we hire Mel Tucker, which will go over about like Al Groh).
Ever since Clown was sent packing and his micromanagement self has been removed from the program DC Thacker has looked decent. IF Thacker is sent packing our new DC is already hired: "Kevin Sherrer" Also Tillman is an upgrade over Clown Collins Secondary coaches. Yes Brent Key reached out to Marco Coleman and T. Choice. Coleman came back.

Overall our team looks light years better than anytime under a Clown Collins coached team. I am betting No coaches are fired this year as this team looks bowl bound for the first time since 2018.

Should have never allowed Derrick Moore to get run off.

Not confident our D can stop the Ole Miss O, but a few turnovers would help. Looking for a lot of luck here.

On a positive note, I’m not convinced Ole Miss is any better than Louisville on either side of the ball.

Take the points.

You're "expecting a W delivered or we're doomed for mediocrity" when ole miss is favored by 3 touchdowns? I want what you're drinking. Maybe you're just more optimistic than I am.

I dreamt about this game last night. On one play Ole Miss’s QB dropped back into his own end zone, and Zeek Biggers came through the line unblocked. In a moment of sheer panic, the QB threw the ball essentially straight up, and Biggers came down with it for a tuddy.

GT by 2 after a redemptive Gavin Stewart walk-off FG.

Ole Miss's run game hasn't been good for the first 2 so far this year, but that has always been a strength of theirs, and they have arguably one of the best RB's in the country. I definitely think they will try to get the ground game going against us this week. We have got to have guys in position and make some 1-on-1 tackles or they will run all over us.

And he was so scared, Dart threw the ball in the air at the 12:00 mark in the 4th and Biggers caught it with 0:00 on the clock for a GT victory

We're doomed if we don't win? I disagree. If we win, it'd be unexpected and would suggest a potential 8-9 win season. You're setting yourself up for disappointment if you're expecting a win and think our season is over if we lose.

From what i’ve read on their secrant forum they are very thin at WR so I suspect that you are right, they will try to get that run game going
